Wayne was born and raised in Eldora, Iowa along with an older brother Kenneth and younger sister Eunice. He and his wife Beverly ran a hobby farm in Lakeville, Minnesota while raising 3 children. This was in addition to working full time in the airline industry for 40 years. He retired from Northwest Airlines in January of 1985 after 33 years.
He loved woodworking, gardening and especially reading. He was very active in the churches he attended, teaching Sunday School, serving as a deacon and the mentoring of others with encouragement to read their Bible and pray.
Wayne was a decorated WWII Veteran, having served in the US Air Corps from 1943-1945.
Wayne is survived by his three children, John Wayne Huffman, his wife Cheryl, Michael Clark Huffman, his wife Karen, and Rebecca Ann (Huffman) Clingerman and husband Allan; nine grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister and his wife.
