Tyson Webb Ferris passed unexpectedly in his sleep on May 8, 2022
Tyson was born in Greenbrae, California to parents Jack and Virginia and was raised in Tiburon, California with his siblings, Jeff and Donna. He graduated from Redwood High School in 1974. Following graduation he attended Empire Business College, working towards his MA, before enrolling in Western Institutes Paramedic Program.
Tyson met Jeannie at Zacks in Sausalito where they both attended the weekly turtle races. After a determined courtship, Tyson finally won Jeannie over and they were married in 1984. Together they enjoyed nearly 38 years of marriage and had two beautiful daughters.
Tyson was passionate about caring for others but also loved spending time outdoors nurturing plants and landscapes. He was able to do both through his work as an EMT with United Ambulance and as a groundskeeper at Los Arroyos Golf Club.
Following the family's move from California to Colorado in 1998, Tyson worked for a time for Argenbright-DEN as an Airport Security Agent before joining Garda-World Armored Security as an Armored Services Security Agent. Throughout his varied professional career, Tyson always gravitated towards positions that allowed him to provide a service to others.
Tyson will be remembered by all who knew him as a kind, generous, and loving man who always placed the needs of others before his own, lightening many hearts through his dry, sarcastic humor and friendly teasing. Tyson enjoyed target shooting, fine whiskey and lounging on the floor with his beloved pups. He loved spending quality time with his family and friends and was an avid history buff who was always willing to share his wealth of knowledge with anyone who showed an interest.
Tyson is survived by his wife Jeannie, daughter Aryn, brother Jeff, sister Donna, nieces Cassie and Kelsey, nephew Corey and his beloved dogs Tiki and Jem. He was predeceased by his eldest daughter, Amber, who passed in 1987.
Celebrations of life are being planned in both Colorado and California. Details will be shared as soon as the arrangements have been finalized.
