Timothy Lambrecht Obituary

Timothy Joseph Lambrecht, 43, of Aurora, CO, was called home by his Lord and Savior on January 15, 2024 in Denver, CO. He was born on November 1, 1980 in Grand Island, NE to Larry W. Lambrecht and Sheryl (Smith) Lambrecht, was baptized at Christ Lutheran Church in Juniata, NE, and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Franktown, CO.

He attended Ponderosa High School in Parker, CO, graduating in 1999. He subsequently attended Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, NE where he played college football, and Mesa State College in Grand Junction, CO. He married Allison Herring on September 17, 2005 in Arvada, CO, they later divorced.

Tim was a master carpenter by trade and was self-employed for most of his career, although he also worked in the family business and for a number of other contractors in the area. He was
highly skilled in his trade and could build just about anything with great care, quality and attention to detail. It is widely speculated that Tim had owned every single power tool in the DeWalt lineup, many of them 2 or 3 times over his career. He never met a pair of Nike shoes that he didn’t love and purchase.

As can be testified by his friends and family, Tim was the life of every party and gathering. He was always willing to lend an ear or a helping hand to anyone in need. He truly loved life, family, and especially his two wonderful daughters, they were his world. His favorite place on this earth was the family property and cabin near Eldora, CO. That was his happy place and many great memories were created there. He was an avid fan of Nebraska Cornhuskers football and the Denver Broncos, both of whom gave him great joy and equally great sadness over the years.

He is survived by his daughters Alivia Lambrecht-Gardner, Sophia Lambrecht-Gardner, and ex-spouse Allison Herring-Gardner, all of Arvada, CO, both parents of Aurora, CO, brother Justin Lambrecht of Highlands Ranch, CO, sister Tiffany Edmondson and brother-in-law Jeff Edmondson of Kenesaw, NE, brother Brandon Lambrecht of Centennial, CO, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved dog Nala, who never left his side during her years with him.

While it is impossible to sum up a man’s life and love in just a few paragraphs, his daughters Alivia and Sophia perfectly captured his essence with the following:

“Our Dad wasn’t just our Dad, he was our best bud. He gave us some of our best advice, like “boys suck and to never date”. My daddy would tickle our feet to help us sleep and would sacrifice his own sleep by sleeping on the floor between our beds which he called the crack. Our daddy has the biggest and kindest heart. He would throw us super high up in the air at the pool and would always make us feel loved. He filled the weekends with many activities and treasured his time with us. He made the most out of everything, even a simple trip to the grocery store. Our daddy was a big softie, he cried during every movie but always claimed his eyes were just sweating. He loved us both more than anything and always took on our punishment, especially when we broke the TV. Daddy always beat us at Mario Kart, and we would all camp out in Grandma’s kitchen many weekends. Our daddy was kind, selfless and a true big kid at heart. He knew how to turn any situation into a fun time. He loved us most, but we think he loved Home Depot almost as much.”
