Scott McCord Obituary

Scott Casey McCord, 58, of Aurora, CO, passed away on July 29, 2022. He was born in 1963 in Kailua, Hawaii to Richard and Jean (Donaldson) McCord, on September 7, 1963. He spent the rest of his childhood in Colorado, Florida, and then Las Vegas, Nevada, where he graduated from Eldorado High School in 1982. He served in the Navy from 1982-1988, before being honorably discharged as an E-6 STG1. He then went on to put himself through college, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from UNLV in 1993. Most recently, he worked for Buckley Air Force as a senior software engineer with PMP and CISSP certifications.

Scott was incredibly intelligent; he loved to learn and was an avid reader. He loved Christian music and country music, especially Toby Keith and Trace Adkins. He practiced Krav Maga for many years and prioritized his health. He was, by all accounts, sarcastic and had a great sense of humor. He loved grilling on his back porch in the afternoons with his family, and winding down with an episode of Andy Griffith before bed. He was a Christian and was actively involved in his church. He was generous and would help anyone who needed it.

He is survived by his wife, Fe (Duallo) McCord, 41, his daughter Elise Chantal McCord, 27, son Trent Calem McCord, 23, and toddler daughter Lena Joanne McCord, 2; as well as his sister Susan Dee Bissey, 74; and brothers John Michael McCord, 70, (sister-in-law Sheilah Michaels McCord), and James McCord, 66.

Scott was a devoted, loving father and family man, who will be missed by everyone who knew him.
