Roger Philip Foucault, 75, of Parker, CO passed away on Saturday August 29, 2020 at his home, surrounded in love by his wife, Barbara, and his daughter and son-in-law Heather and Tomas. Roger was born in L'anse, Michigan to Phillip and Irene (Foss) Foucault on May 13, 1945. He attended high school in L'anse, MI and, afterwards, he joined the US Navy where he served for 3 years as an aviation machinist's mate. He served from 1963-1966. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0144 in L'anse, Michigan. He worked on the U.S.S. Kearsarge CVS-33 retrieving astronaut space vehicles MA-8 and MA-9 and recovered Major Gordon Cooper. He was also involved in the pickup of the Gemini on the retrieval of Scott Glen. Roger was a volunteer firefighter in L'anse MI for 5 years and loved that job. He married his lovely wife, Barbara Jean Diaz-Foucault on September 28, 1974 and they lived in Bernalillo, New Mexico. He was a hard-working journeyman lineman which allowed he and Barbara the pleasure of traveling to many different states. He worked this career for 45 years and was a member of the Local 611 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He retired from the Public Service Company of New Mexico after 25 years.
Roger's many loves include his dog Chica and African Grey bird Fred. He enjoyed hunting and always admired his collection of guns and rifles. Mexican and Cajun music suited him well.
Roger was predeceased by his parents Phillip Easter and Irene Foucault, and a brother William Foucault. He is survived by his lovely wife Barbara and his daughter Heather (Tomas) Foucault-Abeyta of Parker, CO, daughter Kristin Forbes (Will) of Katy, TX, and a brother Ronald (Barbara) Foucault of Clio, MI. Roger also leaves behind his stepchildren Kimberly Ambriz, Kelly Jimenez, and Kevin Abeyta. He certainly leaves a legacy behind and was a proud husband, father, step-father, father-in-law, and brother and will be greatly missed by many great-grandchildren, grandchildren, cousins, and nieces and nephews as well.
