Robert Steven Dock, "Rob", was born in Sioux Falls, SD on October 27, 1965 to Steven and Yolanda (Boelsen) Dock.
The family moved to Denver when he was little and he spent most of his life in the Front Range area. He graduated from Overland High School in 1984 and attended the Auraria campus.
Rob spent the last decades with his partner Jennifer Carpenter. He loved animals and took delight in taking his dogs to Cherry Creek Reservoir. Rob loved all activities on the water and an ice cold beer off. Rob enjoyed photography both professionally and as a hobby. A jack of all trades and master of some; he knew a little about everything. He often amused us all by debating and dabbling about nothing in particular. He was not one to back down; once courageously defending his ranch from a rabid wolf and getting bit in the process. Both earnest and a jokester, Rob evoked emotion. Other enjoyments included: poker, friends, music, riding bicycles, tennis, skiing, baseball, and hitting a golf ball 200 yards with a putter.
Those who loved him and will miss him include his partner Jennifer Carpenter, his brother Jonathon Dock, his sister Laura (Troy) McKean, and parents Steven Dock and Yolanda (Michael) Lickteig, as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his dog, Lily.
Please share your thoughts, memories, musings, and photos about how Rob touched your life. No matter how long or brief your comments are, they are all welcome and appreciated.
