Richard K. Benton, 91, was born on October 24, 1929 in Clayton, New Mexico and passed away on December 24, 2020 in Aurora, Colorado. Richard served in the U.S. Army and then earned his degree from Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico. After meeting Martha Costa they were soon married and started a family. Richard was a High School Principal and a Drivers Ed. teacher. When he wasn't teaching he liked to work in the yard. Richard is survived by his wife Martha Benton of Aurora, CO. son, Mike Benton of Monument, CO. daughters, Sherida Hyde of Aurora, CO. and Joann Baird of Boerne, TX. daughter-in-law Robin Benton of Monument, CO. son-in-laws Dave Hyde of Monument, CO. and Rodney Baird of Boerne, TX. Richard was predeceased by his daughter Denise Day.
