Rebecca A. Blair (nee Witham), 82, of Parker, CO, passed away on July 13, 2020, with her family by her side. "Becky" was born to Cecil and Freida Churchill (nee Hack) on March 3, 1938, in Kinderhook, IL. As a young teen, she was adopted by William and Laura Witham. She graduated from Stanford High School in 1956, and received her nursing degree in 1959 from the Mennonite Hospital School of Nursing (now the Illinois State University College of Nursing) in Bloomington, IL.
Becky married Marvin Blair on 9/12/1959. She is survived by Marvin and their children Bruce Blair, Laura Zahren (Ed), Daniel Blair (Irene), and Susan Wiebelhaus (John). She is also survived by her grandchildren Joe, Chad, and Clint Wiebelhaus. She was predeceased by her brother Ted Witham and several half siblings.
After the family moved to Fredericktown, OH in 1968, she served as an emergency room nurse at Martin Memorial Hospital in Mt.Vernon and then as a Knox County Health Nurse.
An avid quilter and sewer, Becky frequently sold her handmade designs at community craft fairs. She also enjoyed photography, gardening, bird watching, and doting on her two cats, Felix and Sassy. She had an infectious and feisty personality with a sharp sense of humor and a warm, generous heart. Becky volunteered extensively in the communities where she lived, most recently at the Little Blessings Preschool at the United Methodist Church of Parker, where she was a member. Above all, she was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and grandmother.
Becky chose to be cremated, and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Heart Association, the Illinois State University of Nursing, and the United Methodist Church of Parker at the addresses provided below.
