Paul Ma Obituary

Paul Chien Yuan Ma, 92, of Santa Cruz, passed away on September 16, 2019. He was born in London, England on July 29, 1927 to Ma Man Fai and Doris Lai Lin Kwok Ma. He graduated from Stanford University in California on June 15, 1952 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. He was inducted into tau Beta Pi in 1951 at Stanford University. Paul worked as an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Physics at Chung Yuen Institute of Technology in Taipei, Taiwan from 1956-1958; otherwise he was self-employed.

He married Mary Yi Hwa Ma on August 11, 1957 in Taipei, Taiwan and is predeceased by her along with his parents. Survivors include a daughter Priscilla Ma (Romney) Dunbar of Santa Cruz, and two grandsons: Calvin Paul Dunbar and Paul Romney, both of Santa Cruz as well.
