Patricia Jean Risher was born on July 11, 1930 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Harriet and Theodore. She and her sister Betty attended Columbia Elementary and North Junior High School. Pat graduated from Colorado Springs (Palmer) high school in 1948. High School was a special time in her life, she worked at Michelle ice cream/soda shop, rode bikes with her friends to Garden of the Gods and picnicked in the Rocky Mountains.
In October 1949, she married high school sweetheart Don Stamm. They moved to Denver, Colorado where she raised her three children, Karen, Larry and Linda.
Pat began her government career in 1968 working as a Computer Equipment Operator for the Department of Defense. Prior to her retirement in 1996, she worked for the Small Business Administration and Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
She loved going on outings to the zoo, botanic gardens, amusement parks, museums, shopping malls and Bronco games with her children and grandchildren. Most of all she loved her family and instilled her strong values and an appetite for fun.
Pat is survived by her son Larry and his wife Lucy; her daughter Linda and husband Don; grandchildren, Kristie, Robert, Richard, Andrew, Lindsey, Kayla and Ashley; plus, nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and daughter Karen Gaither.
The family expresses appreciation to her caregivers and the Colorado VNA hospice staff.
A private celebration of life was held at her daughter's home in Colorado for family members. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
