Blake McKinney was born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania on August 21, 1951, to Merwin McKinney and Marguerite Flinner. Blake attended North Allegheny High School and continued onto receive a bachelor’s degree at Nyack College. During his time at Nyack College, he was an accomplished cross-country runner and President of the Dorm Association.
Blake most recently moved to Parker, Colorado to be with his son and his family. He formerly lived in Middletown, New York and retired in Boca Raton, FL.
In the height of his Blake’s career he worked as an Export Logistics Manager for the wholesale and food distribution industry. For several years Blake coached youth soccer for the town of Wallkill and Hudson Valley Select teams along with being the President of the town of Wallkill Soccer Club. Blake enjoyed spending time with his family, the game of golf, and lending a helping hand to friends, family, and coworkers.
Blake was a hard-working professional, dedicated father, loyal Steelers fan, and devoted Christian. Blake will be greatly missed by loved ones.
Blake is survived by his son Micah McKinney (Bryn McKinney) along with his beloved granddaughter Bria Grace McKinney. Also survived by his sisters Lorna Kinzler (John Kinzler) and Susan McKinney. His stepsons Frank Kelliher, Russell Kelliher (Dorothy Kelliher), Scott Kelliher, Jordan Shaver and former wife Barbara Shaver.
