Lester Sikora

Lester “Leszek” “Les” Sikora, age 67, was a longstanding resident of Parker, Colorado. He was born on April 2, 1955 in Kolsko, Poland. He was the son of Jadwiga Sikora (Paszel) and Jan Sikora. His brother, Marek Sikora, continues to reside in Kolsko. Lester immigrated to the United States at age 17, to pursue his American dream. He started his path in Kenilworth, New Jersey before relocating to Parker, CO in 1981. For the past 35 years, he served as a loving and caring husband to his wife, Maria Sikora. He also dedicated his life to being a warmhearted father to his daughter, Dr. Evelyn Sikora.

Lester was a self-made man and was always one to give a helping hand. He was passionate about learning all skills of different trades, from house remodeling and repairs to vehicle maintenance to modifying electrical items to establishing a garden. When he was a child, he enjoyed tinkering with electronic devices, which helped set the path towards his successful engineering career. He was a maintenance engineer at IMI Norgren for over 30 years. Lester also became a businessman and owned Taste European Deli and Sikora Malt and Spirits with his wife. Lester was also an explorer. In the summertime, he spent time taking road trips with his family across the country and throughout the state of Colorado. While gardening was also on his summer to-do list, in more recent years, he became highly invested in planting various fruit trees and currant bushes in his backyard, year round. Lester had a zest for life. He was a fighter. He never gave up. He passed away in the late evening on April 25, 2022. Lester will be deeply missed.

Visitation and funeral mass will be held at Parker Funeral Home (10325 Parkglenn Way, Parker, CO 80138) on Monday, May 2, 2022.

Visitation with Rosary will begin at 10am. Funeral mass will be held at 11am.

Burial will occur after mass at JS Parker Cemetery (10375 S Parker Road, Parker, CO 80134)

Reception to follow burial.

Lester „Leszek” „Les” Sikora, lat 67, był wieloletnim mieszkańcem Parker w Kolorado. Urodził się 2 Kwietnia 1955r. w Kolsku w Polsce. Był synem Jadwigii Sikory (Paszel) i Jana Sikory. Jego brat Marek Sikora nadal mieszka w Kolsku. Lester wyemigrował do Stanów Zjednoczonych w wieku 17 lat, by realizować swój amerykański sen. Rozpoczął swoją nową drogᶒ w Kenilworth, New Jersey. W 1981 przeniósł się do Parker, Kolorado. Przez ostatnie 35 lat był kochającym i troskliwym mężem swojej żony Marii Sikory. Poświęcił również swoje życie byciu serdecznym ojcem swojej córki, Dr. Evelyn Sikora.

Lester sam się nauczył robić wszystko  i zawsze wyciągał pomocną dłoń. Pasjonował się uczeniem wszystkich umiejętności z różnych branż, od przebudowy domów i napraw, przez konserwację pojazdów, po modyfikację urządzeń elektrycznych, aż po założenie ogrodu. Kiedy był dzieckiem, lubił majstrować przy urządzeniach elektronicznych, co pomogło mu utorować drogę do jego udanej kariery inżynierskiej. Był inżynierem w IMI Norgren ponad 30 lat. Lester został również biznesmenem i wraz z żoną posiadał Taste European Deli oraz Sikora Malt and Spirits. Latem spędzał czas z rodziną na wycieczkach samochodowych po kraju i stanie Kolorado. Ogrodnictwo również było na jego liście rzeczy do zrobienia na lato. W ostatnich latach bardzo zainwestował w sadzenie różnych drzew owocowych i krzewów porzeczek na swoim ogrodzie przez cały rok. Lester bardzo siᶒ cieszył życem i chiał długo żyć. Nigdy się nie poddawał. Zmarł późnym wieczorem 25 Kwietnia 2022 roku. Za Lesterem będziemy bardzo tęsknić.

Pogrzeb będzie w Parker Funeral Home (10325 Parkglenn Way, Parker, CO 80138) w poniedziałek 2 Maja 2022 roku.

Pożegnanie i nabozeństwo pogrzebowe rozpocznie się o godzinie 10:00 rano. Msza świᶒta żałobna o godzinie 11:00.
