Lance Cox Obituary

Lance Alan Cox, the second oldest of four sons of Melvin R. and Adalou Amelia (Kopriva) Cox was born on June 24, 1960 in Fort Hood, Texas passed away peacefully from brain cancer at home in Centennial, CO on January 14, 2020 with his devoted wife, Caryl at his side.

Lance and Caryl were married on October 27, 2003 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

For the past 30 years, Lance was self-employed as an electrician and formed Lance Electric in 1991.  He was a hard worker, loved what he did and took pride in all his jobs.

Lance was self-less and had a heart of gold.  If someone asked him for help, he never hesitated.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and landscaping.  He was always busy working on projects around the home and yard.  He enjoyed nature, feeding and watching the birds (except the blue herons who always seemed to torment him and would eat his fish out of his backyard pond). He loved the oceans and beaches. The couple took many tropical vacations to Grand Cayman, Puerto Vallarta, Hawaii and Jamaica.

He loved to entertain and have family, friends and neighbors over for barbeques and was a perfectionist making sure his steak and jerk chicken were grilled “just right”. He was always ready for a game of horseshoes, darts or to watch the Denver Broncos play. People loved coming over and hanging out with Lance for a good laugh and appreciated his special sense of humor.

Lance is survived by his wife Caryl (Bader) Cox, his three brothers: Randy (Karen) Cox of Asheboro, NC, Dean Cox of Asheboro, NC and Reese Cox of Randleman, NC.
