Kenneth LeRoy Lewin

On November 12, 2021, we had to say goodbye to a very loving husband and father, Kenneth Le Roy Lewin, 68, after 7 long years struggling with kidney failure leading to other complication, surgeries and many more ahead. He was born on December 9, 1952 in Wakefield, NE. 

Kenneth served in the United States Air Force from 1971-1975.  In 1978 he received his Associate Degree in Engineering from Sioux City, IA. Ken worked as an aerospace engineer for Lockheed Martin.

On November 27, 1976, he married Laurie in Thursten, NE and together they raised their three children, Adam, Abbie and Sarah. Kenneth was an active member of his church. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, gardening, and reading. Our beloved Kenneth worked hard for his wife and family and fought a long hard battle until it was just more than his body could continue to fight. His unwavering faith and ours give us comfort and peace.  Ken is lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, the true love of his life, Laurie of Castle Rock, CO, their children Adam Lewin and his children Miles and Noah of Colorado Springs, CO, Abbie McGrew, spouse Joey, and her children, Mayah, Jordyn and Dillon, Castle Rock, CO and Sarah Steinmetz, spouse David, and her children, Avery and Jake, Parker, CO.
