Joseph "Joe Joe" Charles Jones

Joseph (Joe Joe ) Charles Jones was born on July 9th, 2013 to Alax and Madison Jones of Colorado Springs, CO. Joe was born with a rare genetic disorder called Smith Lemli Opitz Syndrome (SLOS). Joe never let SLOS define him and he was always defying the odds. Joe’s favorite activities were swimming, dunking his head in water, jumping on the trampoline (usually naked), playing with balloons, and playing with his siblings. His favorite places were Nana & Papa’s house and Chuck E. Cheese. He also loved animals and his favorite being Giraffes.

Joe always brought a smile to everyone he met and warmed the hearts of all who cared for him. Joe is survived by his parents, Alax & Madison, is the proud big brother of Ana, Teddy, Clara, and Genevieve. Joe’s best friend was the family dog Ollie who would accompany him anywhere. He is also survived by loving family; grandparents Jamilynn & Michael Anthony, Mary and Michael Jones; aunt and uncles Raychel and Dustin Yager, Dalton Jones, and Marcus and Mason Anthony. He also leaves behind loving great grand-parents, cousins, friends, neighbors and therapists that all adored him.

Joe’s service will be on Saturday, September 25th at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Parish in Kiowa, CO. Rosary/visitation will be from 10:00am until 11:00am and the funeral mass will be from 11:00am until Noon. Joe loved to wear bright colors so to honor him the family would like everyone to wear bright colors to the service. Joe’s Wake will be held after the service at his favorite place – Nana & Papa’s house. Address is 4107 Katie Drive Elizabeth, CO 80107. Please bring your favorite side dish to share. We will also be doing a massive balloon release in honor of Joe.

In honor of Joe Joe, the family requests balloon bouquets rather than flowers. There will be a reception following the service at the Anthony home.
