On April 12, 2022, Joseph Leonard Codute, Jr. passed away at age 89 in Parker, Colorado.
Joe was born on January 29, 1933 and raised in Nashwauk, Minnesota. Upon high school graduation, Joe entered the US Army and spent two years active duty in Germany with the 802nd Field Artillery Battalion as a Survey Instrument Man.
After Joe’s discharge, he moved to Dearborn, Michigan and worked for Ford Motor Company as a tool and die maker for the next 30 years. Joe met his wife, Gloria, on a blind date and they were married August 1957. Joe and Gloria were married for 64 years until her death in October 2021.
Joe also loved athletics. He played baseball, football, basketball growing up and was an avid skier and golfer. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus as an Honorary Fourth Knight and involved in many church fund raising projects with their local parish in Parker. Joe also loved his summers in northern Colorado where he and Gloria shared their summer home with many friends and family for 44 years.
Joe is survived by his two children Jill and Scott. Joe was blessed with grandchildren, Kimberly and Robert and great grandchildren, Max, Lily and Sarah.

A church service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at JS Parker Cemetery, 10705 S. Parker Road, Parker, CO 80134.
