JON H. KALMBACH
October 8th, 1942 - October 19th, 2020
Jon will always be remembered for his love of his family…First and Always. His loyal devotion to his family, his dog Daisy, his country and the great outdoors came natural to a man who stood tall and lead by example. Never did the needs of his own come before the needs of others. He lived his life with respect and integrity...a True Gentleman.
Thank you my Father, my Brother, my Friend...we are all better for knowing you.
Born Jon Herbert Kalmbach in Wayne, MI., Jon’s life journey took him around the world but he made his home at varying stages of his life in Michigan, Ohio, Minnesota and Colorado. He passionately loved the great outdoors spending as much time as possible enjoying the beauty in the north woods of Michigan, the lakes of Minnesota and finally the Mountains of Colorado. As a matter of fact, Jon was horseback riding at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs just last week.
Jon is survived by his sister Sharon (Morrie) Wayne from Cleveland, Ohio; his three children Christopher Kalmbach (LeAnn) from Sammamish, Washington state; Andrew Kalmbach (Danielle) from Fountain Hills, Arizona and Jennifer Sibo (Mike) from Castle Rock, Colorado. Jon was blessed with eight loving grandchildren (Ava, Samantha, Lucia, William, Sophia, Isabella, Jillian and Caitlyn). As a family, we are shocked and devastated at the unexpected passing of our Father, Brother and Friend but know he has joined his father and mother, Herbert and Ann Kalmbach, in the most beautiful place of all, Heaven.
During this difficult time the family is asking for privacy. A family-only service for Jon will be held at Parker Funeral Home in Parker, Colorado, on Saturday, October 24th. An urn committal service and burial for Jon will be held at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Ossineko, Michigan at a future date to allow Jon to rest along side his parents.
Please keep Jon in your prayers.
