John Louis Hepkin Jr.

John Louis Hepkin Jr., beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2019.
John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968. After completing his service, he received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1970. He went to work for Armstrong World Industries in 1970 selling commercial flooring and stayed with Armstrong his entire career of 30 years.
John was married to his lovely wife, Janet for 52 years. He was a loving husband and devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Janet Elaine Shearer Hepkin (Aurora, CO), his children Laura Reed and husband Ethan (Sykesville, MD), David Hepkin and wife Molly (Redmond, WA), and 8 grandchildren.
John enjoyed golf and photography. He had a special talent in building model trains. He loved to go hiking and camping and had many wonderful adventures touring the country with his wife in their RV. He was a very engaged and devoted father, coaching his daughter's soccer team and serving as his son's scout leader for many years. He had a strong Catholic faith and enjoyed many Bible studies with close friends.
