Joe Douglas McCoy

Joe Douglas McCoy passed away on October 8th, 2021 at the age of 77 years old in Centennial, Colorado. He was born on March 7th, 1944 in Ridgeley, Tennessee before living in Parker, Colorado. 

He attended school for 14 years of his life, attending high school in St Louis, Missouri at Cleveland High and he attended college at Mizzou College in Columbia, Missouri. He spent his life as an equipment leasing mortgage broker, and worked for Ace Hardware as a helpful, handyman.  In his free time, Joe enjoyed woodworking, reading, traveling, had an interest in old cars, bowling, attending events at the American Legion with friends, and was an elder at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. He shared his time with his wife Sandi McCoy, whom he married in Evergreen, Colorado on October 11th, 1986. 

Joe is survived by his wife Sandi McCoy of Parker, Colorado, his daughter Kelly Brennan of St Louis, Missouri, his granddaughter Rachel Brennan of St Louis, Missouri, his granddaughter Karli Bullock (husband Joe) of St Louis, Missouri, his sister Nancy Tritschler (husband Ed) of St Louis, Missouri, his sister Ann Haupt (husband Steve) of St Louis, Missouri, his brother Jim McCoy (wife Denise) of St Louis, Missouri, and his great grandson Liam Brennan of St Louis, Missouri. Joe McCoy is predeceased by his daughter Susan McCoy, his father James McCoy, and his mother Laverne McCoy.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that friends and family consider donating to the Mt. Olive Lutheran Church at 11453 E. Wesley Avenue in Aurora, Colorado 80014.
