Jerry Lee Morris, of Parker, Colorado, passed away on July 2 nd , 2021, at home. Jerry was born in Edwardsport, IN on October 7, 1937, to Andrew “Wiley” and Ruth (Sheetz) Morris. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Lula (Earl), a son Andrew, daughter-in-law Christine, and 2 grandchildren, Ayden and Kaydence. He is also survived by a sister, Janet McGlone, of Vincennes, IN, 4 sister-in-laws, Barbara Grey, Sharon Knight (deceased), Doris Carpenter, and Elizabeth Sample, and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry graduated from Sandborn High School in 1955 then enlisted in the USAF where he served 4 ½ years in the US and 1 ½ years in Japan. Upon leaving the Air Force, he began working for various Shoe companies, including the Merit Shoe Store in Vincennes for several years before moving to Phoenix, AZ, then Charlotte, NC, Grand Prairie, TX, and Parker, CO. He worked for Sports Authority in Colorado until 2015.
Jerry loved kids and coached Youth soccer and baseball in Charlotte. Jerry wished to be cremated with no service.
A Memorial service will be held for family and friends in Indiana in the fall.
