James Hurl Obituary

James "Jim" Hurl, 74, passed away at his home in Parker, CO on November 1, 2021.  On January 31, 1947, Jim, the son of George and Grace Hurl, was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. In 1965 he graduated from Greenville High School in Greenville, AL.  Jim later graduated from Lurline B. Wallace Community College.  From 1966-1969, he proudly served as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corp.  While in the service he met and married Susan Kay Lancaster on December 22, 1968 in Brushey Creek, AL.

During his working years he was Vice President of Operations for ITW/Hobart in Troy, OH.

He is survived by his wife, Kay, Parker, CO; son, Michael Hurl, Lees Summit, MO; daughter, Jennifer (Patrick) Witcher, Parker, CO; grandsons, Jacob Hurl and Jamison Hurl, Lees Summit, MO; siblings, Eileen (Billy) Kennedy, AL, Colin (Faye) Hurl, KS, Jackie (John) Clark, KS, Gracellen (Herndon) Donnelley, KS, Barbara Graves, KS and Bruce (Marilyn) Hurl, AL; sister-in-laws Kathryn (Keith) Scott, AL and Carolyn (Marvin) Rayborn, AL; and loved by many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents, George and Grace Hurl, and brother, Jeffrey Hurl.

Services will be held graveside in MO on November 13, 2021 at 10.00  a.m..  Celebration of Life to follow at the private residence of Bob and Susan Witcher, from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., at 9624 Lee Blvd., Leawood, KS 66206.
