James (Jim) Landon Ferguson Jr was born May 13, 1952, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to James L Ferguson Sr and Lilleybeth Davis Webb. He passed away on February 24, 2024, at the age of 71, after a lengthy illness. He was a welder and fabricator in Conifer, Colorado, where he owned and operated Wildhorse Welding. Jim was a master mechanic, but his passion was building high-performance engines for his daughter Jamey’s drag racing cars and many hot rods over the past 50 years. He was an artist and an accomplished author of 5 published fiction novels.
Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Becky, daughters Rachelle Copeland and husband Byron, Amy Booty and husband Abram, Jamey Sheesley and husband Rob, as well as five grandchildren: Jb Copeland and wife Chloe, Jacob Copeland, Jett Copeland, General Booty, and Avery Booty. A celebration of life will be held with family and friends at a later date. Donations in Jim’s memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
