Herleen Dulai Obituary

Herleen Kaur Dulai, age 29, was tragically taken home by God on July 16th. Sadly, too soon for our hearts to handle.

She was always destined to be with God sooner rather than later; after all the meaning of her name is “within the love of God”/“absorbed in God.”

Herleen was still on her journey to determine her purpose in life. But as she was going through her coming of age story she touched many hearts.

She was born in Northern California and spent most of her life there. She graduated from Temple University with her Bachelors when we lived in Pennsylvania. Then moved to Las Vegas to continue her journey, but it ended there.

Her best friend was her golden retriever, Rustam; who had passed a few years ago. I hope she is snuggling him as you read this.

She made many friends along her journey. For those of you who weren’t close to her, you thought she was quiet. But for those of you who knew her, were lucky enough to laugh until you peed your pants. You would think she should have been a comedian until you heard her joke about Bob. So there was this joke she tried to tell. She would start off saying “There is this guy named Bob.” Then she would start uncontrollably laughing. This happened a few times until she had tears in her eyes from laughing so hard. We would just laugh because she was laughing. But I think that ended any options of becoming a comedian. And sadly we will never know why Bob was so funny.

She loved playing sports like soccer and basketball. She use to go running with my dad as well. In Las Vegas she found a community at a gym which became her Vegas family. She also lead a youth group there.

Herleen loves animals and children. As she was a kind peaceful soul, children always gravitated towards her. She loved working with children.

She may not have reached the end of her journey in the sense of finishing her worldly goals. But throughout her journey she was fulfilling her life’s purpose of making a difference. She touched every soul she came into contact with and left a sparkle.

She will be remembered for her twinkling smile, contagious laughter and comforting hugs.  See service information below.
