Obituary
Diane Kaye (Wegner) Christensen of Parker, Colorado passed peacefully at home on March 21, 2023. Diane was born on January 1st, 1948 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by parents Roy and Viola Wegner and brother Donald Sam Wegner. Diane earned her Bachelor's degree at the University of South Dakota and Master's degree at the University of Nebraska. She had a distinguished teaching career of 39 years, mostly at Pyrtle Elementary in Lincoln, NE. Diane married Air Force Captain Neil Christensen, June 1, 1974 in Rapid City, South Dakota. One of her biggest joys in life was becoming a mother when she adopted her daughter, Ann Christensen. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and most of all spending time with her family. She will forever be missed by her husband, Neil, her daughter, Ann, and grandson, Lepreece (JR) Wilkinson along with an amazing group of extended family and friends. Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado & Wyoming.
