Dawn Michelle Storz of Parker, CO passed away on November 9, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.
Dawn loved all animals, hiking, kayaking and, above all her family.
Dawn is survived by her husband Douglas Storz, her mother Delores Carter, her children Dylan Storz (Kelsey Davis), Joshua (Barb) Storz, Gabriel (Andrea) Storz, Daniel (Hannah) Storz, brother Scott (Lori) Alles, sisters Linda Carter, Rebecca Carter, Jane Halabi, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Dawn is predeceased by her father Duane Alles, stepfather Samuel Carter and brother Steven Alles.
Dawn enjoyed being in the outdoors – hiking new trails, kayaking beautiful lakes, or taking long walks with her beloved dogs. Her greatest joy was being able to share these passions with her friends and family. She was a giving, caring and selfless soul.
In the last six years, Dawn endured many health issues including a courageous fight against ovarian cancer. Despite her challenges, she was an eternal optimist with a commitment to “choose happy” every day. Laughter continued to be her gift as she never missed an opportunity to crack a joke. She brought smiles to not only those who knew her, but to all who had the pleasure of crossing her path.
A celebration of life and memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the Parker Funeral Home and Crematorium.
The family invites contributions to be placed towards Dawn’s memorial bench with additional proceeds being donated to the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
