It is with profound regret that we announce the passing of Daniel "Danny" Martinez, a beloved member of our community, on December 22, 2023. Born on January 23, 1978 in King City, CA, Danny's vibrant personality and generous spirit shone brightly throughout his life. He graduated High School from West High School in Denver, Co (1996) and held an Associate degree from Westwood College (2001). He was known to be friendly, protective, funny, witty, and playful. His loved ones and those who had the privilege of knowing him will miss him dearly.
Danny was a pillar of strength, love, and compassion. He shared these qualities abundantly and taught us all to do the same. His deep-rooted kindness and generosity were evident in all his interactions and will remain as a significant part of his legacy. Danny was also recognized for his vast knowledge of sports facts, a passion that reflected his enthusiasm for life and learning.
Danny is survived by his spouse, Jessica Beth Martinez and son, Jordan David Martinez; Other family members include father, Richard Martinez (Denver), mother, Sherry Kay McClain (San Antonio), Jason Martinez (partner Sandra) of Englewood, CO; Brian Martinez (partner Sarah) of Denver, CO; Michael Martinez of St Albans, WV, and Jennifer Martinez and spouse of Jackson Hole, WY. The amount of family that Danny chose to claim is too numerous to name at this time, however, they all know who they are. His family will remember him as a source of joy and inspiration. Our thoughts are with Jessica and Jordan during this challenging time, and we hope they find strength in the love and support of family and friends.
On Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11 AM, a funeral service honoring the life and legacy of Danny will be held at Arise Church, 8700 E. 21st Avenue, Denver, CO 80238. We welcome all who knew and loved him to join us in saying our final goodbyes.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up in Danny's memory. Contributions can be made to the "Jess and Jordan Fund" at the following URL: https://everloved.com/life-of…. Your contribution will honor Danny's legacy of generosity and help to extend his influence into the lives of others.
Danny was a beacon of kindness, generosity, and compassion. His humor and teasing spirit will be missed by many. His spirit, his lessons, and his love will continue to inspire us. We will forever remember him for the joy, love, and wisdom he brought into our lives.
