Affectionately known by loved ones and friends as Chris or “Mama”, Christina Noel Wilson passed away on June 6, 2022 in Colorado Springs, CO — she was 49. She was born on July 25, 1972 in Denver and resided in Colorado her whole life.
Chris attended both Arapahoe High School and Cosmetology school simultaneously, graduating from her trade in 1990, and from school in 1991. She excitedly found Feng Shui after having children, and graduated from the Inspired Feng Shui school in 2010. She was a smart and passionate woman who dedicated herself to many crafts throughout her life, and many of which she delighted in sharing with others. Chris loved to cook, and it was one of her greatest joys spending time in the kitchen, feeding her family and friends. There was not a meal she couldn’t prepare and that did not satisfy her crowd. She gifted her sons with the same love, and they carry it on. Her many other passions included reading, quilting, sewing, writing, entertaining, and especially supporting her husband and her sons in all of their individual endeavors and passions. Greater than all of these to her though was being Mama. Not only to her boys, but to a whole community of her children’s friends.
She is survived by her husband Zane; sons Lee, Seth, and Ty; mother Deborah (Jerry, deceased) Bates; sister Jamie (Tony) Nail; nephews Carson and Connor, niece Cailey Oldemeyer; brother-in-law Shawn (Nicola Hughes) Wilson, nieces Bailey and Callie Wilson; father- and mother-in-law Gary and Arlene Wilson; step-brothers Dave and Mike Bates and their families; and by many family and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Virginia Culbertson, and father James Nielsen.
A Celebration of Life is planned for June 11, 2022 from 1pm - 5pm at the Black Bear Golf Club.
