Carol Krausman

Carol Lynn Krausman, 74, of Lone Tree, Colorado, passed away on May 6th, 2023.

Carol was born on July 3rd, 1948 to James and Phyllis Scoles in Charles City, Iowa. After Carol graduated from Charles City High School in 1966, she went on to study education at the University of Northern Iowa. 

In 1967, Carol met the love of her life, Denny Krausman, at University of Northern Iowa. Carol and Denny married in 1970 and went on to have 2 daughters, Mindy and Sarah, and four wonderful grandchildren. 

Carol, Denny and the girls lived in Parker, Colorado for 17 years and Lone Tree for the last 23 years. Carol worked at Ponderosa High School for 25  years. 

Carol enjoyed playing bridge, traveling, golfing, and entertaining. She served as a Colorado docent at the Governor's residence for many years and was a volunteer at the Colorado Historical Society. 

Carol was also active in the Methodist church her entire life. She enjoyed participating in bible study, being a greeter, serving as a Stephen Minister, youth group leader, and Sunday school teacher. 

She is survived by her husband Denny, her daughters Mindy (Mark) Pincus and Sarah (Kyle) Lanckriet, and her grandchildren, Sam, Kyra, Lilah, and Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to P.E.O. Chapter HY. Cheryl Denslow, Treasurer, 10787 Vista Road, Parker, CO. 80138. P.E.O. is an organization which awards college and continuing education scholarships to women. Carol was a founding member of Chapter HY.
