Candace Hunt Obituary

In Loving Memory of

Candace “Candy“ Ratchford Hunt, 69. She was born in Leavenworth, Kansas on June 11, 1954 and passed away on April 9, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones in Parker, Colorado.

Candy wore many hats, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and family chef. She also went by many names; Mom, Aunt B, and MiMi just to name a few!

Candy dedicated 20 years to Missouri City Water Company as an Administrative Assistant. Following her departure from Missouri City Water, Candy decided to take a new path and began courses to obtain her certification as a Chiropractic Assistant. She went to work for an eastern medicine and naturopathic practitioner as Office Manager and so much more for 25+ years.

In Candy’s lifetime, she touched many lives. If you knew her well, she probably tried to feed you… food was one of her many passions!  She wrote and published a cookbook of family favorites that is cherished and referenced often.

Candy had a heart of gold, a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh, and an ornery sense of humor. She was a loving and compassionate person and she will be greatly missed.

Candy is survived by; her son Tommy, daughter-in-law Melanie and her grandchildren, Jackson, and Emma Hunt as well as sisters; Penny Clark, her spouse Mark and their two children, Cara and Docker and Mary Matzeder, her spouse Kirk, and their daughter Mackenzie.

Donations in Candy’s honor can be made to Alzheimer’s Association Ride for a cure at team “Cook’in with Candy”.   https://act.alz.org/site/TR?fr_id=17274&pg=personal&px=20492431
