Brady Reid Obituary

Brady Anson Reed, 51, of Elizabeth Colorado, unexpectedly passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 3rd 2021.

He was born March 1st, 1970, in Camarillo, California. He Graduated Chaparral High School in 1988. Wanting to pursue aviation, Brady attended San Juan College, in Farmington New Mexico where he graduated in 1996 with an Associate’s Degree in Aviation Technology.

Brady loved being a pilot, but to become a pilot you must first pay your dues. His first job was washing airplanes at Santa Paula Airport. Soon he worked his way to the prestigious position of aircraft fueler. A job that usually leaves you smelling like Avgas or Jet fuel for days.  He eventually earned his Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and became a professional pilot. He would go on to fly some of the smallest transport aircraft, like the Beechcraft 1900, to one of the largest, the McDonald Douglas MD-11. He literally flew the MD-11 all over the world.

Brady started at Mesa Airlines and then went to American Trans Air or ATA. He really loved flying at ATA.  From there he went to World Airways until they went out of business.  After flying for two failed airlines, Brady decided to try corporate flying. Most recently Brady was flying a Citation Sovereign for Jet Aviation, but in reality he was flying for Sean McNicholas. He loved flying for Sean because he and Audra treated him like family, He loved them and their children.

Brady logged over 12,000 hours of flying in his 25 year career. Brady also flew Learjets, Boeing 737s, and his favorite the Boeing 727.

Brady loved flying, but he also was an adventure seeker. If it was cold out, Brady wanted to go snowboarding. If it was warm out, he wanted to go wakeboarding and Brady was good at both.  He loved any kind of water activity, whether it was hanging out on a house boat or wake skating behind a ski boat, Brady loved it all.  He really enjoyed his fishing trips to Alaska with his dad.  Brady loved to cook and cooked almost every night. Brady wasn’t really the kind of person to sit around and do nothing.

Brady was proceeded in death by his mother, Gail Reed of Bullhead, Arizona. He is survived by his father, Gerald Reid of Elizabeth, Colorado; his daughter, Dana Reed of Loveland, Colorado; son, Jacob Reid of Loveland, Colorado, mother to their children, Leanna Troilo of Loveland Colorado; his sister, Dawn Reid of Clayton, North Carolina; his brother, Shane Reid of Newbury Park, California; his sister, Shannon Bauman of New Castle, Indiana; girlfriend, Nealei Vanderburg of Midland Texas and her children, Lennon and Liam; Avery Reid of Colorado Springs, Colorado, her daughters, Blair Lovejoy and Abby Minser; and her grandchildren, Asher and Ayden; and let’s not forget Brady’s dogs, Chloe and Zoe Reid of Elizabeth Colorado.

Brady had this saying hanging on his wall, this is truly how he lived his life.

LIVE Well

DON’T RUSH THROUGH LIFE-IT’S A JOURNEY, NOT A RACE

Trust in the goodness of people. Work harder than everyone else.

Forgive and Forget. Tell someone you love them every day. Be honest and kind. Make time to go to church and remember to say your prayers.

Laugh whenever you can and leave your worries behind.

Be honorable. Live today like it was your last.
