Arthur Lindstrom Obituary

Arthur Glenn Lindstrom, age 74, of Parker , CO, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family July 11, 2018. Arthur was born August 21, 1943 in Carrington, ND as the third oldest of nine children. He attended his grade school years in Grace City, ND and graduated from Kensal High School in Kensal, ND. Art then went on to attend Wahpeton State School of Science, obtaining a Business Degree.

Art started his career with CH Carpenter in Valley City, ND. Then he went to farm in Courtenay, ND for over a decade. He returned to the lumber business for a additional 12 years in MN until he retired. Art’s retirement started out in Cold Spring, MN on a golf course and then Tucson, AZ.

Art was married to the love of his life, Charlotte McKenzie, on December 14, 1962 in Courtenay, ND. They never left each other’s side for the 55 years of their marriage. During the last 20- plus years she cared for him during his fight with Parkinson’s disease. They had two daughters, Brenda and Donna. He never missed one of their basketball games. He loved coaching their softball teams and being a leader of their 4-H. He always told them “I have the best two daughters”, and they told him “It was because we learned from the best”. His son-in-laws also enjoyed many good golf games.

Art loved kids. His grandkids were everything to him whether it was playing baseball, pulling their first tooth, teaching them to ride bikes, building model wooden cars or playing any board game they asked. Art even broke a rib from them rolling down a grass hill.

His nieces and nephews all loved UNCLE ART!

Art also loved golfing, fishing, traveling, hunting, cribbage, and a good pinochle game. He had a love for wood working and there was never a shortage of saws in his shop. There wasn’t a sweet he didn’t like. He also shared them with his grand puppies, Lizzy, Louie and Buddy. He served on the Church board, Cenex and School board

Art is survived by his wife, Charlotte Lindstrom, of Parker, CO; daughters Brenda (Randy) Mork, of Parker, CO and Donna (Keith) Neis, of Rogers, MN; grandsons, Tyler Mork, of Park City, UT and Brady Mork, of Parker, CO; granddaughter, Jenna Neis, of Rogers, MN; brothers, Dennis (Karen) Lindstrom, of Finley, ND and J. Art was predeceased by his parents, Maynard and Eleanor Lindstrom; step-father, Gordon Nelson; brothers Richard Lindstrom and Merlin Lindstrom; sister, Tammy Boyer-Garner and brother-in-law, Arnie Kauk.

We will miss, but never forget, this energetic, kind, caring and humble husband, father and grandfather.
