Sondra Ann La Valley (nee Moore) was born on May 11, 1973 In Portland, Oregon to Rondal (Ron) and Nancy Moore. She died on her 45th birthday, May 11, 2018, at her home in Aurora, Colorado.
She graduated from Overland High School and then completed her B.A. degree from Metro State College. She lived in Honolulu, Hawaii from 1982-1984 from the third to fifth grade, then came to Colorado.
She worked in the insurance industry as a Claims Representative. She loved to travel, beginning at an early age as a child of an airline employee. This included travel with her parents to Switzerland when she was 23 and then with her husband, Ray to more destinations during their 14 years of marriage.
She was grounded in her faith and accepted Jesus as her Savior at a young age. She attended all five years of the Children's Program in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) in Portland, Oregon. Then, as a freshman in college, she attended the BSF night class in Colorado.
Sondra was a kind and thoughtful woman, caring about others, generous and loyal to the people in her life. She was loving and a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Ray La Valley; her mother, Nancy Moore, of Aurora, CO; her mother-in-law, Lorraine La Valley, of Parker, CO; her brother, Jason Moore and his wife Christine, of Visalia, CA; her aunt, Carol Moore Ellis, of Kennewick, WA; her four uncles, Dan Heily, of Great Falls, VA, Duane Copeland, of Prineville, OR,Stan Copeland, of Canby, OR, and Rod Copeland, of Denver, CO; along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.
