Richard Lee Montgomery, age 80, of Parker, CO, passed away peacefully July 30, 2018 with his loving family at his side. Known to his loved ones as Dick, Richard was born on July 26, 1938 in San Diego, CA. He attended San Diego State College in San Diego, CA, graduating in 1963. Dick was the CEO and founder of California Coast Title Company. He was a member of the US National Guard for many years. On August 21, 1975, Dick married the love of his life, Mrs. Carolyn Montgomery. Dick loved Ducks Unlimited, fishing, physical fitness and was an avid reader.
Dick is survived by his wife, Carolyn Montgomery, of Parker, CO; son, Rich Montgomery, of Parker, CO; daughter, Debbie Thompson, of Las Vegas, NV; granddaughters, Kylie Montgomery, of Parker, CO, Hannah Thompson, of Colorado Springs, CO and Emma Thompson, of Elizabeth, CO; and grandsons, Mitchell Thompson, of San Francisco, CA, Reed Thompson, of Calhan, CO, Connor Thompson, of Elizabeth, CO and Coleman Thompson, of Elbert, CO.
Dick was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Evelyn Montgomery, of La Mesa, CA and grandson, Grant Thompson, of Elizabeth, CO.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dick's honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
