Norman (Norm) Henry Happel passed away peacefully at home on Thursday October 5th, 2017.  Norm was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend to many.

Norm enlisted in WWII and knew that he wanted to be pilot.  Flying was his passion and serving his country became his career.  Norm also served in the Korean War and retired a Colonel in the USAF after 31 years of service.

Norm was a member of the America Legion for 71 years and was actively involved in the Elizabeth community serving in many capacities.

Norm is survived by his wife of 11 years Billie (Pracht) and her children Donna, David, Debbie and Dennis.  Daughter Susan K. Happel from first marriage to Fay Happel (deceased 2004) and Sister Barbara Nelson.

A memorial service in Norm's honor will occur October 21, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Elizabeth American Legion Post 82. All are welcome.
