Michael Shawn Thompson

Shawn Thompson, 53, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on January 14, 2020.  He was born in Denver, Colorado to the late Carl and Mary (Chadwick) Thompson on April 23, 1966.  Shawn attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, graduating in 1985, and Aurora Community College graduating in 1988, and also attended Bailie School of Broadcast. Shawn married Rhonda (Saine) on May 16, 1992 in Denver, Colorado.  

Shawn loved his job and was dearly loved by all who knew him.  He worked for SI Funeral Services (WFSI) for the past 16 years, and had recently been promoted to Regional Manager/Plant Manager.  Previous to this, he worked at Wing Hut as an owner/manager for 6 years.

Shawn loved God and was a member of the Church of Christ in Parker, Colorado. He was a true family man and loved to cook and watch sports.

He was predeceased by his father, Carl Thompson, and is survived by his wife, Rhonda (Saine) and daughter Memphis of Aurora, his daughter Keriann (Brendon ) Hall of Aurora, Colorado, his mother, Mary Thompson of Colorado City, Colorado, a brother Carl (Chip) Thompson of Sterling, Virginia, a brother, Cory Thompson (Kelly) of Pueblo, Colorado, and recently born grandson, Nehemiah Brendon Hall from Aurora, Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like consideration given to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Shawn's name.
