Marjorie Ellen Capron, age 96, of Elizabeth, CO, passed away peacefully October 10, 2017. Born in Orchard, NE on February 11, 1921, Marjorie attended high school at Central High School in Pueblo, CO, going on to attend three years of college at Western State College in Gunnison, CO. Marjorie had a Professional Musician Rating on the clarinet and maintained membership as a member of the Tri-Sigma sorority for 78 years. On April 26, 1942 Marjorie married her husband, the late Donald R. Capron, in Pueblo, CO. Marjorie had several occupations, including being a private music teacher for both instrumental and piano, a baton teacher in Leadville, CO, the owner of Capron Charmers, also in Leadville, CO and as an etching artist for Van Briggle Pottery in Colorado Springs, CO. Mrs. Capron was active in numerous Bible study groups, MS groups and was an active member of the Elizabeth Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth, CO. Marjorie is survived by her children, son, Robert Capron, of Elizabeth, CO and daughter, Marilyn Travis (Mitchell), of Elizabeth, CO and grandchildren, including grandson Nathan Travis (Jessica), of Castle Rock, CO and granddaughter Laurel Travis, of Elizabeth, CO. She also had four wonderful great grandchildren from her grandson Nathan and his wife Jessica. Mrs. Capron was predeceased by her husband, Donald R. Capron and her son Donald “Donnie” R. Capron Jr. She was a wonderful, loving woman who will be missed by all who loved her.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.at the Elizabeth Presbyterian Church, 325 S. Banner Street, Elizabeth, CO 80107.
