The Indian Premier League (IPL) should not take precedence over domestic cricket, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has cautioned its centrally contracted players and members of the broader target pool. Manoj Tiwary, a former cricket player from India, feels that this has just highlighted the issues he has raised over the years regarding India’s first-class tournament.

Tiwary detailed numerous problems with the domestic cricket system in a recent X (previously Twitter) post. He said he thought the direction from the BCCI might not have been approved if he hadn’t posted it on X. He said, “As a result of his post, the BCCI secretary has now put pressure on the players.”

Will Pucovski is seeing his current return to cricket as a “second chance” and is becoming an important part of Victoria’s quest to make it to three consecutive Sheffield Shield finals. At the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday, he ended his three-year drought without a century by hitting 131 runs off of 302 balls against New South Wales. Despite this accomplishment, bad weather ended the match before Victoria needed to win by taking just two wickets.

Will Pucovski century was a bright point, especially in light of the fact that it came so soon after his eleventh concussion, which he had on January 21 during a Second XI match against South Australia. The 26-year-old is confident about his quick two-week recuperation after the event.

With Matt Henry and Tim Seifert out of the three-match T20I series against Australia, New Zealand’s already injury-ravaged team has suffered even more blows. Henry has to take a little break and strengthen his hips in order to prepare for the upcoming Test series against Australia. Henry experienced hip soreness following the South Africa series.

In the meantime, Tim Seifert is sidelined due to his torn abductor during training with the Northern Districts.
Ben Sears of Wellington, a pace bowler, and Will Young of Central Districts, a batsman, have been recruited to fill the vacancy. Sears and Young are competent fill-ins, according to Black Caps coach Gary Stead, who expressed optimism about Henry and Seifert’s quick recuperation. In order to assure the team’s depth and resiliency ahead of difficult games, Stead emphasized his faith in the replacements.

In Rajkot, the third Test of the current five-match series pitted Team India against England. Both teams have everything to play for in the next few games since the series is tied, and even though both sides are playing well, the exploits of ace England batter Joe Root have gone unnoticed.

Throughout the current series, the 33-year-old has not been at his best, and the Rajkot Test was no exception. Root has only scored 70 runs in five innings, with his highest scoring total for the series being 29 runs.

On the third day of the third Test, Root tried to play a reverse scoop to Jasprit Bumrah but was caught in slips by the fielder, adding insult to injury.

Taking seven wickets in the series so far, Root has proven to be an even more potent weapon for England with the ball than he has been at the bat. Former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri brought up the same topic during his commentary, making a lighthearted jab at Root.

Because his mother needed to be hospitalized, Ravichandran Ashwin had to leave the third Test against England in Rajkot midway. Shortly after the conclusion of Day 2, he hurried back to Chennai. Even though he took his 500th wicket that same day, he was too busy attending to his family. As of right now, on Day 4 of the Rajkot Test, Ashwin became a member of the Indian team thanks to a chartered airplane organized by BCCI secretary Jay Shah, underscoring the board’s amazing gesture.

Unexpectedly, Aaron Hardie’s slight calf problem has forced him to miss Australia’s T20 World Cup preparations, which has thrown a wrench in the nation’s constantly shifting white-ball lineup. The addition of Spencer Johnson to the roster after a hasty draft raises the level of uncertainty even further.

After Marcus Stoinis’s back injury claimed his life on Friday, Hardie—who had not been on the team before—was called up. But when the Western Australian all-rounder bowled on the second day of their Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania, he experienced calf tightness. He was forced to withdraw from the New Zealand series even though the initial scan revealed no serious injuries.

As a precaution, WA coach Adam Voges brought up Hardie’s condition and mentioned his tight calf. Voters expressed optimism that it would not be a major problem.

In the current five-match series against India, England’s best hitter in Test cricket, Joe Root, has been having difficulty scoring runs. With two games remaining, Rohit Sharma and company lead the series 2-1.

They would have expected Root to be one of England’s best hitters when they got to India. During their most recent Test series visit to India in 2021, the former England captain ended up being the top run scorer. But the seasoned batter appeared to be a shadow of his former self this time. Root has amassed a pitiful average of 12.83 in six innings across the first three Test matches, with a maximum score of 29.

He scored 287 and 15 runs in 12 ODIs and three T20Is while playing for the national squad. Tiwary, who is well-known in domestic cricket, has scored over 10,000 runs in first-class cricket, but he has never been able to establish himself in international cricket, particularly in red-ball cricket.

In addition, the batsman from Howrah remembered his early days of playing cricket and his interactions with the great Sourav Ganguly.

“When I first arrived at Eden Gardens, Dada (Sourav) was this young, fair left-hander. Tiwary remarked, “I felt like I had to play like this because he’s actually the Prince of Kolkata.

During the event, the experienced cricket player expressed his gratitude to the late Jagmohan Dalmiya, Avishek Dalmiya, Snehasish Ganguly, and other CAB administrators, in addition to his teammates. As West Bengal’s Minister of State for Youth Services and Sports, the veteran is expected to concentrate more on his political career.

Manoj Tiwary, who declared his retirement from all forms of cricket, was honoured by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Sunday, February 18. Playing 148 first-class matches, the 38-year-old led Bengal to the final last season, when they were defeated by Saurashtra. Though he had intended to resign after that, he chose to stay on as team captain for an additional year.

But Bengal’s story didn’t end happily; after placing third in Ranji Trophy Elite Group B, he was unable to advance to the Ranji Trophy 2024 knockout stages. Tiwary received a golden bat and ball memento from CAB president Snehasish Ganguly following his final match against Bihar. The former cricket player turned politician broke down in tears and said that his wife and mother had inspired him and that he misses his father.

“My father passed away in 2017, and I mourn him daily. My motivation has come from my mother and my wife. News18 cited Tiwary as stating, “They make me whole.”

India’s youthful batting squad showcased exceptional talent and resolve in the third Test against England, achieving a dominant 434-run victory in Rajkot. Virat Kohli’s absence and KL Rahul’s unavailability allowed Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel to debut and showcase their skills.

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s impressive double century in the second inning led the aggressive yet situationally aware batting team. Sarfaraz Khan and Shubman Gill both contributed significantly to India’s challenging total of 557 runs for England, which Jaiswal’s aggressive batting helped to establish.

India had a rough start in the first inning, with the top order struggling. The team was able to surpass the 400-run mark thanks to Sarfaraz Khan’s tenacity in the lower middle order and the contributions of Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja, two seasoned players.

Notably, for personal reasons, Kohli has withdrew from the current five-match Test series against England in cricket. Prior to the first Test on January 22, the top batter arrived at the Indian camp in Hyderabad, but he was forced to depart that same day for personal reasons.

India leads the Test series versus England 2-1.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India, or BCCI, granted Kohli permission to miss all five games out of respect for his privacy. The story was further complicated by the revelation on Kohli’s YouTube channel, made by his close buddy and former South Africa cricket player, that the famous cricket player is expecting his second child with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma.

When sensitive information from a company is obtained indirectly — through one of its third-party vendors — it is referred to as a third-party data breach. At this point, the organization's systems are accessed through the unauthorized use of the vendor's systems.

In our globally interconnected society, third-party data breaches are a serious hazard that arises when malevolent individuals breach vendors or contractors to obtain sensitive information. Global supply networks make monitoring more difficult, and companies have trouble protecting information provided by unidentified providers.

Even if third-party vendors are required, risk can be reduced by working with those who exhibit strong security through comprehensive evaluations and ongoing observation — both crucial elements of Vendor Risk Management (VRM) and comprehensive Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) initiatives.

Sanjay Manjrekar, a former cricket player, is not pleased with India’s performance in the two-match Test series against South Africa. The Proteas pacers rocked the visitors in the first Test at Centurion, and Rohit Sharma led his team to victory in the second Test, which saw South Africa bowled out for 55 and 176 runs, respectively.

But if he had been the team’s captain or coach, Sanjay Manjrekar said he would have been dissatisfied. Although India ultimately fell short of making history—they are still seeking their first Test series victory in the rainbow nation—he continued, saying that this was the most defeatable South African team. The 58-year-old expressed dissatisfaction over the teams’ lack of Test matches and said the three-match ODI series wasn’t necessary.

“If I were the captain or the coach, I would consider it a regret. The South African teams that India faced in the past were formidable opponents. This South African side was the easiest to defeat. In an interview with ESPNcricinfo, Manjrekar stated that Dean Elgar’s 185 stopped India from making true history.

Because Sumit Sharma, an Odisha cricketer, has presented several birth documents during his career, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has suspended him for two years. Before the player’s first Ranji Trophy encounter of the season, the all-rounder received a letter of suspension from the governing body’s disciplinary committee. He traveled to Baroda with the team.

According to sources, the birth certificate he provided during the 2015–16 season did not match up, leading to several rumors and ultimately leading to the board suspending him. Tarini Sa will take Sumit’s place in the starting lineup for the first game, according to the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA). Although he joined the team in Baroda, the cricketer was not included in the starting lineup.

“The BCCI has barred Sumit Sharma, an Odisha senior men’s team player, from participating in the BCCI domestic tournaments for a period of two years due to his presentation of numerous age certificates. In an explanation of the development, OCA secretary Sanjay Behera released a press release. “The certificates produced by him when he played at the junior level in the year 2015-16 do not match with the ones he produced for the current season.”

The series’ second and last Test between South Africa and India was an absolute blur. The match proved to be an utter barn burner, finishing as the shortest Test match in history in terms of overs bowled. The series ended in a tie after the game, which lasted for 1.5 days. India won the second Test, but the Proteas won the first, leaving no obvious winner in a series that lasted only two games. Observing the same circumstances, former English cricket player Kevin Pietersen expressed his opinion that a third Test might easily decide the series winner. Across all formats and surfaces, the Australia women’s cricket squad is quite strong. But they’ll have to work hard when they play the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Indian squad in a one-off Test beginning on Thursday, December 21, at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.

India and England engaged in a Test match last week at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. On a pitch that had a lot going for the spinners, the hosts prevailed by an overwhelming score of 347 runs. Heather Knight, the captain of England, described the conditions at the turning track as “extreme.”. The surface got worse as the game progressed, and India won the match by taking all ten English wickets in the opening session of Day 3.

Coach Shelley Nitschke of Australia stated that her team is aware of what to expect and emphasized the value of adjusting to the situation as it arises. The former all-rounder mentioned how excited her guys are about the assignment.

Nitschke remarked, “It’s a hard one to prepare for.” The girls are fresh off a World Bank-backed series, so it appears that we will see some very typical subcontinental conditions, but it’s also really exciting. Believe that people are merely accepting the challenge. ESPNcricinfo cited Nitschke as saying, “We’re just doing everything we can to get ready.”

“Imagine that it will all depend on how fast that pitch degrades. It’s important to adjust quickly and avoid getting too ahead of ourselves in the hopes that anything will change. The 47-year-old continued, “We are trying not to read too much into it, but we certainly know what way it could go. It will be interesting how much it changes across the four days.”

Alyssa Healy will lead Australia in the first Test unless there’s a big change: Shelley Nitschke
The Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) was significantly disrupted for Alyssa Healy after her dog bit her. In Australia’s 50-over practice match on Sunday, December 17, at Wankhede Stadium, she did not record wickets. But she did bat, and she scored a half-century for herself. Healy, Australia’s new permanent captain, will play the Test match against India, Nitschke promised, barring any major events.

“Hopefully, the next three or four days will continue in this positive manner since everything is looking pretty promising. Nitschke stated, “I believe Midge [Healy] will be leading on the first day of the test unless there is some kind of major change.”

Australia is anticipated to enter the Test match with a wealth of spin-bowling resources. Their playing XI can maintain a reasonable balance because they are fortunate to have several elite all-round players in their ranks. All-rounder Heather Graham has just arrived after playing a few WNCL games at home, so the tourists will essentially choose their final XI from a pool of thirteen players. While Grace Harris has only been selected for the Twenty20 Internationals, star pacer Megan Schutt has not yet joined the team.

“There are a lot of choices available to us, including some all-around players. We have some decisions to make, so we’re not exactly sure where that will end up right now,” Nitschke said.

South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw, a superb batsman, was one of the Delhi Capitals’ (DC) most significant purchases in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction. For the 2023 season, the franchise paid INR 4.6 crore to secure his services. But with his lackluster batting statistics, the Protea batter was unable to defend his spot on the squad.

Although Rilee Rossouw is renowned for his hard-hitting skills in the cricket world, he was unable to counter-bowl opponents during the 2023 IPL. In nine games, he managed a pitiful average of 29.85 and only 209 runs. The Capitals have cut ties with him because of his underwhelming performance, and he will now be dealt another blow.

Rossouw will have a base price of INR 2 crore in the 2024 Indian Premier League auction, but, given his incredible batting ability, some teams may choose to take a chance on him. The 34-year-old has a wealth of league cricket experience and may contribute significantly to the lucrative league with meaningful innings.

On Thursday, December 14, in Johannesburg, during the third and final Twenty20 International against South Africa, Suryakumar Yadav improved his standing in the game’s shortest format by scoring a fourth century that tied the record. Upon being asked to bat first, India’s skipper took the lead right away, scoring 100 runs off of just 56 balls to help the team to a formidable total of 201/7. In his thrilling innings, Suryakumar struck eight sixes and seven fours.

Former Indian sprinter Zaheer Khan expressed praise
Suryakumar Yadav gave an explanation of why bowlers find it challenging to bowl against the Mumbai batter following his impressive knock. Zaheer observed that it is quite difficult for a bowler to carry out their plans since the 33-year-old plays strokes in every direction on a cricket pitch.

Without a doubt, he is establishing a reputation for himself. Bowlers find it extremely tough to deal with his ability to make shots all over the field. In this format, with the field constraints, bowlers always have an opportunity if they can strike one side of the pitch, according to a remark from Zaheer on Crizbuzz.

However, bowlers find it difficult when faced with a batsman like Surya, who can knock the ball to long on, midwicket, smash sixes over covers, and effectively employ pace by opening his bat’s face. It’s never going to be simple for bowlers to carry out their strategies since he chooses his fielders and his places, he said.

Zaheer Khan gave bowlers the simple advice to “try and get Suryakumar out.”
With four hundred Twenty20 internationals, Suryakumar Yadav tied the record shared by Glenn Maxwell and Rohit Sharma. The most T20I hundreds for the flashy right-hander also come when batting at No. 3 or lower. According to Zaheer, opposition bowlers’ primary goal should be to remove Suryakumar.

One method of stopping him would be to simply offer oneself the best opportunity to bowl the deliveries and get him out. That was ultimately the outcome, Zaheer continued.

India triumphed by 106 runs to square the three-match series 1-1. The Proteas were bowled out for just 95 after facing a formidable total of 202. Kuldeep Yadav was the visitors’ top player with the ball, going five for forty. Arshdeep Singh and Mukesh Kumar each claimed one wicket, and fellow tweaker Ravindra Jadeja also claimed a few wickets. It was decided that Suryakumar was Player of the Series and Player of the Match.

In a show of respect and admiration for the cricketing legend, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to retire the illustrious No. 7 shirt, which MS Dhoni famously wore as his captain. This symbolic act, which he took three years after quitting international cricket, will serve as a reminder of the immense impact he had on Indian cricket.

The BCCI has informed present and prospective players that the numbers linked to these cricketing legends are off-limits, in keeping with the similar tribute given to Sachin Tendulkar’s No. 10 shirt in 2017. When it comes to choosing their jersey number, the cricket players on Team India will have fewer options thanks to this directive. The Indian roster of accessible numbers now has restrictions, even though the International Cricket Council (ICC) allows players to select any number between 1 and 100.

The number allotment for the current Indian squad and those who are in contention has already been determined, according to a senior BCCI official, leaving a small pool of perhaps 60 odd numbers. In the event that a player missed a year or more of action, the board declined to give their number to a rookie. As such, those who have just made their debut now have just about thirty possibilities to pick from, which highlights the scarcity of numbers.

A dearth of numbers among graduates
Yashasvi Jaiswal, 21, had to change course on his India debut this year when he saw his old No. 19, which he had worn when playing for the Rajasthan Royals. Dinesh Karthik, who is still active in cricket but is now a commentator, held the number. As a result of his desired number being unavailable, Jaiswal adapted by selecting No. 64 for his national team jersey.

Even in youth sports, where talented athletes compete to obtain their desired jersey number, the importance of jersey numbers is clear. Notably, the coveted No. 7 was already taken; therefore, emerging sensation Shubman Gill faced a challenge in his Under-19 career. After deciding on No. 77, Gill stuck with it when he moved up to the senior squad, demonstrating the bond players frequently form with their jersey numbers.

India overcame Aiden Markram’s team by 106 runs in the third game of their Twenty20 International Series on Thursday, December 14, in Johannesburg, averting a series loss. The series concluded 1-1 as a result of this outcome. Aakash Chopra, a former opener for India, examined the actions of a few of the Indian players competing in the series. Shubman Gill, a gifted opener, may have an issue with his technique against left-arm spinners, according to the cricketer-turned-commentator.

LBW dismissals of Shubman for 0 and 8, respectively, occurred in both games. During the third Twenty20 International, he attempted to sweep Keshav Maharaj, but the on-field umpire smacked him on his pads, promptly giving him out. Replays later revealed that he would have survived if he had opted for a review because the ball had missed the stumps.

Shubman Gill Twenty20 international stats are inconsistent. One or two significant knocks are there, but everything else is low. It appears that he is having trouble with left-arm spin as well. Aakash Chopra wrote on his YouTube page, “From what I understand, the left-arm spinners have trapped him inside the powerplay.”

Shubman Gill played his first T20I match earlier this year against New Zealand, where he earned his first century. After accumulating 890 runs at an average of 60 for the Gujarat Titans, he went on to win the orange cap in the Indian Premier League. Gill hasn’t been able to perform well regularly in the game’s shortest format, despite scoring a half-century against the West Indies.

Aakash Chopra says Tilak Varma is losing out on possibilities.
In addition, Chopra said that Tilak Varma, who scored 29 and 0 while batting at No. 3 in the series against South Africa, lost out on a great chance.

Tilak Varma is passing up chances. He needs to exercise caution because his Ireland series wasn’t great and he is losing out even in this situation by batting at number three. He was forced to bat slightly down the order against Australia. Because it is still Kohli’s, No. 3 is already a tough position to keep. I believe that Rohit and Kohli will compete in the Twenty24–20 World Cup,” Chopra continued.

In the Caribbean, the southpaw made a strong debut to his international career. With 173 runs at an average of 57.67 in five innings, he concluded as India’s leading run scorer in the five-match series. Nevertheless, he has only scored 137 runs in the next ten games.

Chopra also mentioned Jitesh Sharma, an Indian wicketkeeper and batsman. Following the ODI World Cup 2023, the 30-year-old had some spectacular cameos against Australia in the home T20I series. He did not, however, do well in the Rainbow Nation, as he managed just five runs in the two Twenty20 Internationals. The 46-year-old claimed that Jitesh missed out on a chance to firmly establish his place on the squad. KL Rahul and Sanju Samson, among others, are reportedly waiting in the wings for a chance to return to the T20I lineup, according to Chopra.

“In some ways, Jitesh Sharma has also missed out on opportunities, but he bats down the order. If he doesn’t, someone else will be prepared to take his place. Perhaps Ishan Kishan, KL Rahul, Sanju Samson, or Rishabh Pant once he recovers completely,” Chopra remarked.

Given that he rarely plays down the order, perhaps it isn’t Ishan Kishan. I don’t think it will happen, but Samson might have a shot if he bats at No. 5 for RR. Jitesh Sharma is thus, in a sense, a front-runner, but not really,” he said.

In a talk on Aakash Chopra’s daily sports show “#AAKASHVANI,” Anjum Chopra, a JioCinema expert, discussed her expectations for the Test match between India Women and England Women at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai starting on December 14.

About India’s prospects in the match
Anjum Chopra: India’s home ground advantage gives them a good chance. However, given that England’s Test players were training at the city’s gymkhanas throughout the white-ball series, I believe the circumstances will favor England. They are thus more accustomed to their surroundings. Anyway, there is more red-ball cricket played in England. In 2021, our players faced Australia in their final Test match. They haven’t played long-format domestic matches or red-ball cricket since then. Therefore, England is unquestionably a better fit for red-ball cricket than India.

Regarding the probable combination for India
Anjum Chopra: Meghna Singh and Sneh Rana ought to be starting, in my opinion. We could witness this spin combination if Deepti Sharma and Rajeshwari Gayakwad join Sneh. We will immediately have six bowlers if Renuka Singh Thakur and Pooja Vastrakar (an all-round player) play in addition to Megna Singh. Richa Ghosh and Yastika Bhatia are the two wicketkeepers; I would go for Yastika Bhatia because of her excellent batting and keeping. Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Harmanpreet Kaur are included in the top and middle order.

On the development of England in Test cricket

Anjum Chopra: England’s results have gotten better over time. They performed admirably in the Test match against the Ashes. Tammy Beaumont reached two hundred runs. Their advancement has been steady since then and will continue into the upcoming Test match against India. Charlie Dean and Sophie Ecclestone are the two people England would like to accompany. Kate Cross has also joined the group. Their bowling combination will therefore be excellent. Since England’s bowling and fielding are far more accustomed to using the red ball, their main goal will be to bat well.

Unexpectedly, match officials at the GMHBA Stadium in Geelong called off the fourth Big Bash League (BBL) game between the Melbourne Renegades and Perth Scorchers because they deemed the playing surface “unsafe.” The Renegades also released a formal statement regarding the same.

The club asserts that the intense rain that fell before the game caused a damp spot, which is why the umpires stopped play during the seventh over. In the meantime, Cricket Australia (CA) declared that it would examine the cause of the match’s cancellation.

According to the governing body’s statement, “Cricket Australia (CA) will conduct a thorough review into the extremely frustrating circumstances that have resulted in the game’s abandonment and a huge disappointment for fans and players.”

In the event that the game cannot be postponed, the regulating board further declared that both sides would split one point each.

Before the game, Head Coach Adam Voges of the Scorchers expressed his worries about the wicket. Along with discussing the disappointment of the fans, he expressed gratitude to Melbourne Renegades management for guaranteeing refunds to all general public ticket buyers.

“The batters still took a couple hits to the stomach, but overall, I’m glad that nobody was gravely hurt in this incident. Though I believe they finally made the right decision, it is disheartening for everyone who came out to watch tonight. We came here to win the game, so it’s disappointing that we split the points while not doing anything wrong, he remarked.

“Our first thoughts are with our supporters, the devoted Geelong and Victoria followers that we have. The events of tonight have left us deeply disillusioned. Our supporters had every right to be deeply disappointed because we played the Scorchers in a crucial game. We’ll talk about the results of that fantastic cricket night in the coming days. It was supposed to be fantastic. The team’s general manager, James Rosengarten, stated in a statement: “The club will ensure that all general public ticket purchasers receive a refund.”

Legendary cricketer Wasim Akram voiced his displeasure with foreign coaches in Pakistani cricket after his team did poorly in the just finished ODI World Cup. The 57-year-old claims that because the coaches don’t attend the national team academy (NCA) or stick with the squad for the full season, they aren’t contributing to the development of the team. He bemoaned the fact that foreign coaches simply visit during a tour and then leave, which does not help the side.

In Akram’s opinion, there is little long-term growth and very little involvement. He advocated for Pakistanis to coach the national team and called for a more active role. The former cricket player Gautam Gambhir has a similar opinion, saying that Pakistan has just recently been duped by foreign trainers.

“Our foreign coaches aren’t always present in Pakistan.” They are merely there for the excursions. They don’t try to come to the NCA and work with kids or other coaches. They ignore the psychological component and man-management. DNA cited Akram as stating, “Unhone to laddu khilaya hua hai hum sab ko (we are just being fooled)”.

Shan Masood: We have the power to alter history.
Shan Masood took over as the team’s captain after Babar Azam resigned, and his first task is a challenging away series against Australia. Pakistan has never won a Test series in Australia, thus the players have a wonderful chance to rewrite history, the newly chosen captain said ahead of the practice match against Prime Minister XI.

First of all, we consider it an opportunity. In situations where you haven’t done anything in your past, you have the chance to attempt and make a difference. In order to help Pakistan and this World Test Championship, that is what we are attempting to achieve,” Masood said during a news conference.

With ten straight victories, India had a fantastic ODI World Cup 2023 campaign, making it all the way to the finals. But on Sunday, November 19, in front of a crammed Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Australia trounced them by six wickets in the finals, and they were unable to cross the finish line. A standout player for the ‘Men in Blue’ in the ten-team competition was Shreyas Iyer. The Mumbai batsman congratulated Pat Cummins’ team on their record-breaking sixth ODI World Cup victory, using his official ‘X’ handle. In addition, he expressed his heartbreak along with all Indians and expressed gratitude to the BCCI, his teammates, the support staff, and the fans for their unwavering support.

It still hasn’t hit home for us and won’t for some time. We are devastated. I learned a lot from my first World Cup experience, and it has made me thankful for everything in my life. I want to express my gratitude to the @BCCI, team management, support personnel, my teammates, and all of the supporters who have stood by us from the start to the finish. Prior to the intense ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup final between Australia and India, veteran Indian pacer Mohammed Shami mother, Anjum Ara, was admitted to the hospital. Australia won the match for the sixth time on November 19, which took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Mohammed Shami mom was unable to attend the much-awaited match on Sunday. Ara, who is dealing with some serious health problems, was taken to the hospital on Sunday morning after feeling lightheaded. The pacer’s family had originally intended for everyone to be there at the match; instead, only Haseeb, his older brother, and his relatives made the trip to Ahmedabad.

News 18 said that Ara recently discussed her chronic health difficulties with someone who had communicated with her. On Sunday, though, she had a standard examination before being brought to the hospital. Shami’s younger brother, Mohammed Kaif, a former domestic cricket player for India, was oblivious to the circumstances.

Mohammed Shami top scores at the 2023 ODI World Cup
In the just-concluded ODI World Cup 2023, Mohammed Shami had a remarkable campaign. The 33-year-old has missed India’s first four tournament games. He did, however, demonstrate his value when he was named in the starting lineup for India’s sixth game at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala against New Zealand, winning Player of the Match and claiming a fifer.

Then, at Mumbai’s storied Wankhede Stadium, the fast bowler put on another outstanding display in the group stage match against Sri Lanka. In the game that saw the Men in Blue crushed by 302 runs, he finished with fantastic figures of 5/18. Interestingly, in that game as well, he was named Player of the Match.

In the Mumbai semifinal match, Shami’s other standout effort came against the Kiwis. Speaking of the match, India chose to bat first and scored 397 runs in total. The pacer then completed with career-best stats of 7/57 to win his third Player of the Match trophy in the competition. With 24 wickets from seven games, the 33-year-old concluded the tournament as the top wicket-taker.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) found itself in hot water before the India vs. New Zealand ODI World Cup semi-final match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, November 15. The BCCI was accused of altering the scheduled surface. For the high-profile match, the BCCI chose to utilize an old pitch rather than a “fresh pitch” sanctioned by ICC pitch specialist Andy Atkinson, according to a Daily Mail story. Former captains of the Indian team, Sunil Gavaskar and Michael Vaughan, shared their thoughts on the subject.

As the pitch is available to all teams, I don’t think there needs to be a lot of debate over what this pitch will or won’t do. This Indian team is definitely capable of managing any surface, in my opinion. You’ve already witnessed that in the competition. Additionally, if the pitch is drier—which it probably is because the rains have stopped— Therefore, there won’t even be a trace of wetness. Indeed, there will be one in which there may or may not be a small amount of spin. However, Gavaskar told India Today, “I don’t think there should be too much of a problem because the Mumbai pitch is generally very good for batting.”

“I don’t think there would be much of a problem with the pitch given the caliber of bowlers we have who have bowled exceptionally well, whether bowling first or second. This usually happens, I believe, the night before a game when you have nothing to write about and you attempt to write something because you want to fill your columns and you want to speak about pitches and things like that. It makes no difference to me. They converse without a doubt about whether the pitch changes after the toss. However, the 74-year-old continued, “I don’t think any noise should be made at all if the pitch is the same before the toss.

It was on his official ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) handle that Michael Vaughan said the semi-final ought to be played on a new field.

“New ground should be used for a World Cup semifinal. The former England captain wrote on X, “It’s as easy as that.

It is necessary to acknowledge that this conflict has somewhat overshadowed the intriguing semifinal match between two of the top cricket teams.

India advanced to the tournament’s semi-finals and will take on New Zealand at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium after winning all nine of their league matches in the 2017 ODI World Cup. Prior to that, Mumbai police had received reports of ticket resale and are actively investigating the matter.

Tickets priced between INR 25,000 and INR 50,000 are being sold, according to Praveen Munde, DCP (Circle-1). He said that an additional investigation is presently in progress and that his team has already gotten in touch with the accused.
“The World Cup match ticket for New Zealand vs. India, which normally costs between Rs. 2500 and Rs. 4000, was being sold for Rs. 25000–50000. Our team got the information, got in touch with the accused, and things got done. The inquiry into the matter is still ongoing, according to Praveen.

This is nothing new in the ongoing competition, though. Numerous such instances were discovered during the league stage, but thus far neither the cricket board nor the municipal authorities have been able to stem the flow.

However, India’s matchup with New Zealand in the semifinals is a rematch of the competition from 2019. The Men in Blue have a painful history of losing to the Kiwis in knockout matches, as evidenced by their recent defeat in Manchester. against November 15, though, the Rohit Sharma-led team will be confident in their chances as they take on New Zealand because they are playing in fantastic form.

Since their current playing lineup has been effective, India is unlikely to alter it. Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli each scored fifty runs in their last league match against the Netherlands, while Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul each scored a century. All of the hitters are hitting well right now. Bowlers have also performed admirably thus far.

New Zealand strikes the ideal balance in this regard. In the most recent encounter, Trent Boult displayed his class, while youngster Rachin Ravindra has been one of the tournament’s performers. As a result, when these two teams play, a fantastic match is anticipated.

An Australian club cricketer, Gareth Morgan of Mudgeeraba, stunned spectators by taking six wickets in the final over of a one-day match in the Premier League Division 3 on the Gold Coast against Surfers Paradise. It was a remarkable turn of events. Morgan turned the tide and sealed an incredible victory despite looking like he was going to lose.

With six wickets remaining and Surfers Paradise needing just five more runs to win, Mudgeeraba skipper Gareth Morgan took charge. His amazing performance came after that. At the age of 65, Morgan removed Jake Garland, the first hitter. Morgan then masterminded a spectacular sequence that saw the next five batters, all ejected for golden ducks, return to the pavilion without allowing any runs to be scored.

Recalling the encounter as “bizarre,” Morgan revealed that the umpire had joked, before the over, that he would need a hat-trick to win. By a strange stroke of luck, Morgan’s performance surpassed all expectations.

“It was then that I thought, ‘I want to win this game,’ after I scored the hat-trick. It then simply went insane. I was in disbelief when I saw the stumps return on the final delivery. According to The West, Morgan said, “I’ve never seen anything like it.

In the final league match of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, India easily trounced the Netherlands by 160 runs, as was predicted. The competition marked the ‘Men in Blue”s tenth straight victory. For the Indian supporters, Virat Kohli first wicket in nine years in ODI cricket was the cherry on top.

After deciding to bat first, India scored 410/4 on Sunday in front of a raucous crowd at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The Netherlands, in response, were bowled out for 250. Following the conclusion of the first inning, the outcome of the match seemed inevitable because it would never be simple to chase 411 against a bowling team as hot as India. Still, few would have guessed that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, rather than Mohammed Shami, who is currently playing well, would be listed in the wickets column.

In the prior games, too, fans had insisted that Kohli get the ball. Prior to the Netherlands game, captain Rohit had only made three deliveries with him. The fervent Bengaluru audience yelled “Kohli ko bowling do [Give Kohli the ball],” and Rohit complied.

Dutch skipper Scott Edwards and Sybrand Engelbrecht shared a 39-run fourth-wicket stand till Kohli dismissed Edwards in his second over, caught behind down the leg-side. KL Rahul sprinted to his left to accept a well-executed catch. Kohli and his colleagues were ecstatic, as the audience sent out a cheer.

Cricket fans experienced a wave of nostalgia after witnessing Kohli’s dismissal of Kane Williamson in the 2008 U-19 World Cup semifinals. The Delhi player bowled a delivery that was identical to the one he bowled to Edwards, but missed Williamson’s willow. But then Shreevats Goswami lost his footing and stumped the Kiwi batter cleanly.

Earlier this month, veteran player Paul Compton of the De La Salle Kingsgrove Cricket Club in Sydney achieved a noteworthy milestone when he claimed his 1000th wicket for the side. In his 40th season with the team, the 60-year-old, who started his senior cricket career with DLSKCC in 1983, accomplished this milestone. In the final over of Peakhurst Park’s match versus Coogee Bay this past weekend, he had his historic moment. With a top-edged pull shot from Finn O’Neill, which partner Achilleas Spanos expertly collected at short mid-wicket, Compton claimed his 1000th wicket.

Paul Compton became a life member of the DLSKCC in 2011 after winning seven premierships. a career high of 8–30 against the Allwah Hunters in 1987 served as a career high. The previous January, he scored his first career hat-trick against Illawarra Catholic Club. Remarkably, Compton disclosed that he was more excited about his hat trick than about hitting the 1000-wicket mark.

“I was more excited about getting a hat-trick than I was about taking the 1000th wicket.” I swear, I must have made nearly 80 attempts. So many have been reported. “Releasing that burden from my back felt amazing,” Compton said to Fox Cricket.

Paul Compton said, “That last hundred was the hardest; I just wanted to get it done.”
A total of 422 clean bowled dismissals, 458 catches, 113 leg before wickets, two stumpings, and one hit wicket comprised his incredible 1000 wickets for the team. Compton said that he experienced moments of frustration throughout his quest for this momentous milestone, as the final 100 wickets proved to be a very difficult task.

Many have been inspired by MS Dhoni path from a railway ticket collector in Kharagpur to one of the best captains in cricket. Among the most revered cricket players worldwide, not just in India, is the wicketkeeper-batter.

Bengali is the language spoken in Kharagpur, West Bengal, where Dhoni spent his formative years. The 42-year-old disclosed at a recent event how his knowledge of Bengali allowed him to thwart Bangladesh’s intentions during a match.

“Mere railways ka job tha in Kharagpur me aur us samay Bengali meri bahut achhi thi.” If bhi bolunga, then bhulbhal bolunga, but how can one find out? Bengali was quite good while I worked in the railways in Kharagpur. I can comprehend Bengali extremely well, therefore even if I might make mistakes when I talk now,” Dhoni remarked at the occasion.

It’s interesting to note that even though Bangladesh won the match, we still managed to win by batting first. Mujhe Bengali aati hai, unko nahi pata tha. How come the keeper udhar seems so relaxed about rapid bowling? Isn’t it amazing how quickly things change? When the toh jab match is over, hum baat kar rahe the toh. Bangali bujhte pare ae eta Remarkably, there was a time when we were playing a match in Bangladesh and they were unaware that I could speak Bengali. I knew what the bowler was going to bowl since their keeper was making a suggestion. As a result, after the game, the Bangladeshi players were chatting among themselves, and upon witnessing my response, they said, “He understands Bengali,” Dhoni said.

India defeated England in their sixth match at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow to extend their unbeaten streak in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. After that, the Indian bowlers went on the rampage, dismissing England for 129 runs in 35 overs at the start of the second innings. With a pair of wickets in a row, Mohammed Shami helped India win.

Following two wickets from Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami struck on successive deliveries, first dismissing Ben Stokes for a duck and then dismissing Jonny Bairstow on the first delivery of his following over. Even though India was unable to reach a respectable total, Shami’s two early wickets proved to be vital for the hosts. The elite bowler also took two more wickets, dismissing Adil Rashid and Moeen Ali.

While England was losing to India by 100 runs in Lucknow in the second inning, head coach Matthew Mott of the national team discovered the qualification scenario for the 2025 Champions Trophy. This information was made public after the ICC earlier that Sunday verified the qualification procedure. Pakistan is set to host the Champions Trophy in 2025.

The ICC board approved the 2025 Champions Trophy qualification process in a meeting that took place in November 2021. The top seven teams from the 2023 World Cup in India were to compete for the remaining seven spots, with Pakistan guaranteed entrance as the host country. Remarkably, this crucial choice was kept secret and not communicated to the press or general public.

Soon after England’s defeat, Matthew Mott confirmed in a press conference that he had only “about an hour and a half ago” learned about the top eight qualifying requirements.

“The ICC does change the rules quite a bit with qualification, and to be honest, I don’t think it would affect, in any way, the way we’ve played in this tournament, so it’s not a big deal,” Mott explained.

For those who do not know, Topley shattered his left index finger in England’s previous match against South Africa, which resulted in his elimination from the competition. In the 15-man roster, Brydon Carse took his place. However, Matheesha Pathirana was substituted by Angelo Mathews, who was unable to compete in the esteemed event because of a shoulder injury.

Former Sri Lankan skipper Mathews is scheduled to participate in his fourth ODI World Cup. For the 36-year-old, who was originally left off the team, this is undoubtedly a historic event. The former champs will undoubtedly benefit from his vast experience and all-around skill.

On Thursday, October 19 in Pune, Virat Kohli scored his 48th ODI century against Bangladesh. The match was part of the ODI World Cup 2023.

India needed 51 balls to complete the Bangladeshi total of 257 while holding seven wickets in hand. Shubman Gill achieved his first half-century at a World Cup, but Virat Kohli stole the show with an incredible unbeaten 103 off just 97 balls.

The talismanic hitter needed 28 runs to reach the 30-run threshold at one point when India needed 29 runs to win. From this point forward, Kohli was seen declining a few singles before finally scoring his century on Nasum Ahmed’s magnificent six. The 34-year-old was persuaded to go for the century by KL Rahul, who was at the other end with the former India captain, according to a statement he made following the game.

Australia and Pakistan square off in a pivotal contest in the 18th game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. For both sides in their pursuit of tournament success, the game is of utmost importance.

During the toss, Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, made an unexpected announcement, choosing to bowl first and declaring the exclusion of Shadab Khan, who has been out of form and has made little contribution to the squad. Pundits and team managers were critical of Shadab’s current performance downturn, which dates back to the Asia Cup.

Usama Mir has been added to the starting XI in lieu of the Pakistan Vice-Captain. Usama Mir, who starred in the ODI World Cup warm-up matches for 2023 with four wickets in two games and had a successful season with the Manchester Originals in The Hundred, joins the team as a crucial acquisition.

Given Shadab Khan’s underwhelming performances thus far in the 2018 ICC Cricket World Cup, former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik asked Babar Azam to bench the all-rounder in the team’s forthcoming game. On October 20, the 1992 champions will play Australia in their fourth game at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

After the team’s match against India in Ahmedabad, many have questioned Shadab’s position in the squad. Shadab should be benched from the forthcoming game, according to Malik, who said that he is having trouble with both bat and ball.

“Shadab is unquestionably a very excellent bowler, but he is having trouble. Even though he claimed four wickets against Sri Lanka in Lucknow on Monday, Adam Zampa struggled to place his leg-spin, but his sliders and googlies were placed correctly, according to Malik, speaking to A Sports.

Having unmet expectations will prevent you from giving your best performance: Jasprit BumrahJasprit Bumrah was sidelined for over a year from cricket due to a back issue. The right-arm bowler, though, has looked in great rhythm since making his comeback in the series against Ireland in August and is currently leading the Indian bowling attack in the ODI World Cup 2023.

The 29-year-old discussed how he handles the strain of expectations. Bumrah stated that he has experience playing international cricket and strives to put that experience to good use. He noticed that the burden of expectation weighs down a player, thus he makes an effort not to be bothered by it.

“Because I wanted to play cricket as a child, I don’t really see it as pressure or responsibility. I desired to compete for India. I wished to perform the challenging task. I wanted my team to triumph. So I’m doing it,” Bumrah said to ICC Digital Insider following India’s victory over Pakistan.

On Sunday, October 15, in a thrilling match in Delhi, Afghanistan defeated the reigning champions England by 69 runs to deliver the tournament’s first significant upset. Additionally, this was Afghanistan’s first triumph over England in general. The Afghan spinners took advantage of the conditions while defending a goal of 285 runs and gave England a lot of trouble.

With eight wickets between them, the spin trio of Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Mohammad Nabi excelled. Although the Arun Jaitley Stadium’s pitch was not turning squarely, the spinners received enough support, and their talent was evident. In addition to congratulating Afghanistan on their historic victory, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar noted that England’s hitters erred by attempting to read the spinners off the track rather than from the hand.

“Afghanistan put in a fantastic all-around effort, with @RGurbaz_21’s good knock serving as the catalyst. @ECB_cricket had a bad day.
The England hitters failed to read quality spinners from their hand, which is a requirement when facing them. Instead, they were read off the field, which I believe contributed to their demise,” Tendulkar wrote in his piece.

Rohit Sharma, the captain of Team India, broke the records of Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, and Kapil Dev in the ODI World Cup by scoring a century against Afghanistan. Rohit Sharma sits at the top of the standings with this century, which is his eighth of the competition. He had previously been tied with Sachin Tendulkar for the most hundreds with six, but he played an outstanding century against Afghanistan to reach this landmark.

In addition, Rohit Sharma scored his century in just 63 balls, making him the fastest Indian to do so at the ODI World Cup. The previous holder of this mark was Kapil Dev, who completed a World Cup century in just 72 balls. To celebrate Rohit Sharma’s amazing accomplishment, the Arun Jaitley Stadium crowd in New Delhi stood up.

With seven centuries, Rohit Sharma now holds the record for the most centuries in the ICC World Cup. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 action will continue on Tuesday, October 10 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, as Pakistan and Sri Lanka square off in Match 8. Pakistan entered the match having defeated the Netherlands in their opening match by a score of 81 runs.

Early in the innings, the Babar Azam-led team was in trouble as they were reeling at 38/3 after 9.1 overs. However, courageous runs by Mohammad Rizwan (68 off 75) and Saud Shakeel (68 off 52) helped their side to 286. Haris Rauf shone with the ball, tallying 3/43 in nine overs.

In contrast, Sri Lanka was thoroughly defeated by South Africa in their opening game, losing by a huge margin of 102 runs. The bowling attack of Sri Lanka was decimated by the combination of Quinton de Kock, Rassie van der Dussen, and Aiden Markram, who also recorded the highest team total in World Cup history (428/5).

At Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Game 6 of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 pits New Zealand against the Netherlands. Rachin Ravindra (51 off 51), Tom Latham (53 off 46), and Will Young all struck half-centuries for the Kiwis.

Mitchell Santner contributed a late surge to the innings as well, scoring 36* off 17 balls in a magnificent cameo that included three fours and two sixes. The southpaw made the most of Bas de Leede’s final over of the innings by hitting him for back-to-back sixes off the final two deliveries. With just a few days till the eagerly anticipated ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, former India head coach Ravi Shastri thinks Suryakumar Yadav could be crucial for the team captained by Rohit Sharma. On October 8 in Chennai, India will face Australia to begin their campaign.

Suryakumar, who Ravi Shastri feels to be the X-factor since he can win games for India at the ICC international tournament, would be a player to watch, according to Shastri.

I’ll be keeping a very careful eye on him. Since you have 6-7-8 players and your top order is performing well, you will either play him or Shreyas Iyer at this time. However, if every batter is scoring runs, that player becomes the deciding factor in a crucial game and might give you the victory. Because of the damage he can create with Hardik at 6-7-8, they can simply win the game by eliminating the opposition in the final 6-7 overs. Shastri said ESPNCricinfo, “I can assume that your batting is failing, but it’s not the case. So that’s the X factor you’ve got to think of.

At the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, Sri Lanka will open its 2023 World Cup campaign against South Africa on October 7. Due to its diminishing record in International Cricket Council (ICC) competitions, expectations for the island squad are not high for the forthcoming World Cup. However, the major competition will be contested in India, where the conditions are practically identical to those of Sri Lanka.

When the World Cup was held in 1996, it was in subcontinental conditions, and the Lankan Lions won it for the first time and only time. Sri Lanka wasn’t expected to win the championship going into that match, but Arjuna Ranatunga guided his team to victory with an outstanding performance.

The aggressive England batswoman Danni Wyatt has chosen to withdraw from the upcoming Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL), claiming exhaustion. Wyatt was slated to play for the Perth Scorchers Women after being selected as a first-round choice by the group earlier this month. Sophie Devine, the captain of New Zealand, was kept at platinum. Wyatt missed the most recent ODI series England played at home against Sri Lanka.

The Scorchers chose Amy Jones as their third international player through a direct nomination process. However, they will now need to find Danni Wyatt replacement. After selecting the 32-year-old during the draft, head coach Becky Grundy was quite happy and believed that the club would benefit from her versatility in the field. She will, however, need to make new arrangements now that Danni Wyatt is unavailable.

In the meanwhile, Brisbane Heat has hired English leg spinner Sarah Glenn to fill in for New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr, who will miss the first several WBBL games. Although Kerr’s absence from the first few matches was anticipated, Brisbane had no qualms about selecting her as their platinum pick.

England hitters Ben Duckett and Phil Salt put on an incredible display of power hitting in Bristol, driving the ball to every corner of the County Ground before the rain came and ended the game. In the three-match series, England’s 48-run victory over Ireland in the second ODI was sufficient for a 1-0 series victory despite their being two no-result games.

The first over of the game, bowled by Mark Adair, saw Salt hit three boundaries and a six, the highest opening over by England ever. England scored 84 in six overs as the slaughter continued, with Salt reaching his half-century in just 22 balls. His fast-paced 61-run opening stand off only 28 balls came to an end in the seventh over, along with the fast-paced 87-run opening stand. A few overs later, Salt’s opening partner Will Jacks followed him to the pavilion, giving Ireland some temporary reprieve.

Duckett looked in fantastic form as he approached the crease and hit a 72-ball century, improving his prospects of playing for a fully-fit England ODI team in the future. Duckett, who hit 12 fours and two sixes, needed just 26 balls to go from 50 to 100 before hitting his maiden white-ball international century with a huge six over long-off.

Everyone will remember the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 Final differently, whether they were one of the fortunate fans inside Lord’s or one of the millions watching on screens around the world.

It was a game that had it all, from Trent Boult unintentionally standing on the boundary rope to Ben Stokes sliding in to redirect a throw for the luckiest of overthrows to the debut of the first-ever ODI Super Over on the biggest platforms.

With Martin Guptill out of bounds, Jos Buttler whipped off the bails, giving England the victory on a boundary countback after the regular match and Super Over were matched. The mythical home of cricket has rarely heard such a cacophony of uproar.

It was the culmination of England’s incredible journey led by Eoin Morgan, who set out to win the World Cup at home and succeeded, as famously said by commentator Ian Smith, by the thinnest of margins.

Matthew Wade, a wicketkeeper batsman for Tasmania, has been suspended after a spate of code of conduct violations. Wade’s most recent infraction happened during the Marsh Cup game against Victoria. He will now be subject to an automatic two-game suspension for the offense.

Matthew Wade anger peaked during the game on Monday at the Junction Oval in Melbourne when he violently slammed his bat down the ground after facing a dot ball. This unique act includes abuse of cricket gear or attire, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during a match, which is a clear breach of Article 2.5 of the Cricket Australia code. Wade did not argue against the charge, and he was convicted.

Matthew Wade has committed three level-one breaches in the previous 18 months. Despite the fact that these offenses are very minor, Cricket Australia’s rules provide that if there are three violations within a certain period of time, a two-game penalty is automatically imposed.

Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer displayed his skill with a brilliant century against Australia, demonstrating a great amount of adaptability and unshakable dedication to the team’s goals. In the second ODI of the thrilling three-match series, which was played at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, Iyer’s spectacular 105 runs off 90 deliveries, garnished with 11 boundaries and three soaring sixes, was a key factor in India’s resounding 99-run triumph using the DLS technique.

On September 17 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the seven-time winners India will face the defending champions Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 championship game. For the eighth time in the competition, both teams will face off in the finals, with India winning four and Sri Lanka taking home three victories. Both clubs are vying for yet another championship win, thus this game is anticipated to be a high-octane battle.

Sri Lanka will enter the match fresh off a nail-biting victory over Pakistan in their virtual semifinal. Sri Lanka has won four out of five matches without even scoring 300 runs in the modern era of cricket, where 400 runs is a manageable total for many. They initially lost the majority of their key bowlers to injuries, but their trusted bowlers have delivered in a variety of matches, taking a total of 47 wickets in five games, including seven wickets against Pakistan in the rain-shortened game that was reduced to 42 overs.

Maheesh Theekshana has taken eight wickets, whilst young sensations Dunith Wellalage and Matheesha Pathirana have each taken ten and eleven for Sri Lanka. Each and every batter has stepped up at different times in the batting department. Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samarawickrama have contributed 253 and 215 runs, respectively, at averages of 50.60 and 43, while Charith Asalanka, the game’s hero, has contributed 179 runs at an impressive average of 59.67.

The reason why the games do not begin at 1:30 as opposed to 3:00 was brought up by Ravi Shastri, a former head coach of India. According to the 61-year-old, if the games had been played earlier, it would not have required the reserve day.

“Why don’t the games begin at 1:30? By then, the games have already begun in India. Before the rain came, you would have completed 20–25 overs if you had started at 1-1:30. Without the reserve day, it’s possible that all of the games in the tournament would have been finished. Something for the organisers to think about,” the former cricket player said on TV.

Sri Lanka has made a name for itself as one of the most fearsome teams in the present continental championship. They have also only lost one of their previous 15 ODIs, and that was against India.

On the other side, India just lost to Bangladesh while practically all of their key players choose to sit out. Notably, Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul, two of India’s top players, have made impressive recoveries from their respective ailments, and Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli have all been playing outstandingly. They are anticipated to maintain their excellent play in the summit match as well.

In the weeks preceding the championship game, injuries occurred to both Sri Lanka and India. The team led by Dasun Shanaka is likely the one who would be most negatively impacted by it because they will no longer have frontline spinner Mahesh Theekshana for the rest of the competition. Axar Patel was ruled out of the final, therefore Washington Sundar was added as India’s backup.

Shoaib Akhtar, a legendary Pakistani sprinter, has suggested that it won’t be simple for India to defeat Sri Lanka in the 2023 Asia Cup final. On September 17, the summit match will take place at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

Akhtar’s viewpoint follows India’s crushing defeat to Bangladesh in their final Super Four stage match. The 48-year-old claimed that the loss was shameful because India was destroyed by a team that had already been eliminated from the competition. Before the big game, the defeat provided Rohit Sharma and company with a “wake-up call,” he continued.

“We did not anticipate India to lose to a team like Bangladesh, but that is exactly what happened. It was a humiliating loss. Pakistan was defeated by Sri Lanka. The fact that they were eliminated from the Asia Cup is much more embarrassing. India is still in the championship. There is yet hope for them. It served as a terrific wake-up call for them to play even better going forward and ensure they win the match in the championship. When it comes to India, Ye Khala Ji’s Ghar is not lawful. Nothing of the sort will take place. The game will be challenging, Akhtar said on his YouTube channel.

Akhtar said Sri Lanka is trying to defeat India.
He continued by predicting that Dasun Shanaka and company may attack the seven-time winners with full force. He continued by saying that the final may go to anyone because both teams are preparing for the eagerly anticipated Cricket World Cup in India. The 48-year-old stated that because they fell to Bangladesh, the Men in Blue needed to wake up.

“Sri Lanka is competing against India. And heading into the World Cup, anyone could win. India must become aware. Bangladesh defeated them, he continued.

One of the best white-ball batters in history now is Rohit Sharma, the captain of India. Since MS Dhoni, the former India captain, elevated Rohit to begin the innings in 2013, Rohit’s career has seen a significant transformation. Since then, the Mumbai-born batter’s incredible strokeplay across all formats has astounded the cricketing community.

In addition to being a proficient technical hitter, Rohit is renowned for his six-hitting ability. The Indian captain is presently second on the list of players with the most sixes in international cricket and is only 14 sixes behind Chris Gayle of the West Indies for the top spot. The 36-year-old laughed when asked about the potential of surpassing the World record for the most sixes in international cricket, adding that it would be a special record if he were to succeed.

Following the announcement of India’s 15-man squad for the One-Day International World Cup by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), cricket enthusiasts and industry professionals have been providing their opinions on both the players who were chosen and those who were not.

Shardul Thakur has been selected to play for the team, and it is anticipated that he would provide assistance to Hardik Pandya in the role of a fast-bowling all-rounder. However, Kris Srikkanth, who won the World Cup in 1983, has been critical of the BCCI selectors for choosing the Mumbai cricketer. Srikkanth has pointed out that the Mumbai bowler rarely bowls his complete quota of overs and does not score enough runs with the bat. The 63-year-old believes that India should have brought in a bowler who specialised in the position instead.

Ajit Agarkar, the chairman of selectors for the Indian team, and Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian team, made the announcement of India’s 15-member roster for the upcoming ICC Odi World Cup 2023. The tournament is scheduled to begin on October 5, 2023, and would be the first time that India will be the lone host nation.

The most anticipated team was the one representing the nation that was hosting the tournament. This is because the BCCI selection committee had a lot of pressure on them to choose the finest team possible while still adhering to all of the requirements for modern-day 50-over demands.

Aakash Chopra, the host of JioCinema’s daily sports program “#AAKASHVANI,” offered his opinion on India’s game plan going into their match versus Nepal. In order to ensure that Shardul Thakur and Hardik Pandya get to bowl at least ten overs each, India should first try to win the toss and decide to bowl. They ought to try to finish their bowling as they failed to do it in the previous game. Even though the game could be postponed due to rain, even though the chase might be challenging, it’s fine.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will hold its forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 25 in Goa. The meeting’s agenda includes, among other things, the appointment of three new members to the Governing Council of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and a few topics related to the 2017 ODI World Cup, which will start on October 5 in Ahmedabad.

There may also be a discussion about the existing selection committee, according to reports. The committee was under a lot of strain when Chetan Sharma was in charge, but under Ajit Agarkar, the controversy that used to play a big part hasn’t been as prevalent. On the other side, Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, has already informed all the parties of the meeting’s details.

After dropping the first two Test matches, England fought valiantly to tie the Ashes series at two games each. Even though they were unable to win back the urn, the cricket community praised their perseverance and willingness to take on the World Test Champions Australia, who currently possess what is arguably the best bowling attack in the world.

Since Brendon McCullum took over as head coach and teamed up with captain Ben Stokes, England’s playing strategy has been like a breath of new air to the game’s most fundamental rules. Some of the strongest bowling attacks in the world have been deflated by their “Bazball” ruse. The methodical lunacy that Bazball brings with it has been witnessed by teams like New Zealand, Pakistan, and South Africa.

When Stokes’ team travels to India to play in a five-match Test series in early 2024, Nasser Hussain believes the famous Bazball technique is poised for an intriguing battle. The English hitters’ aggressive batting approach hasn’t been tried on surfaces like those that might be available during the trip, so the spin-friendly conditions in India will present a new challenge.

It is Bazball’s upcoming exam. They declared that Bazball will be used against one side before moving on to the next. After that, they travelled to Pakistan, Australia, and New Zealand. India is the next opponent, and everyone is aware that playing in India presents one of the toughest difficulties in Test match cricket, according to Nasser on The ICC Review.

Spin is up against Bazball. This matchup between Bazball and Ravi Ashwin, (Ravindra) Jadeja, and Axar Patel is going to be exciting, he continued.

Former South Africa captain AB de Villiers said that Shane Warne, India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, and Afghanistan’s spin king Rashid Khan were the hardest players he had ever faced.

Since 2021, when he stopped playing all kinds of sports, de Villiers has been spending time with his family. But he was on JioCinema’s panel of commentators for the IPL 2023, which just ended. He gave his important thoughts during the games of the tournament.

De Villiers said that Warne’s attitude and the way he carried himself made him hard to beat, and that Bumrah and Rashid’s tendency to be “in your face” made them hard to get away from.

“I think Shane Warne was the reason I went to Australia for the first time in 2006, and not just because of his skill and style. It was also his presence and the aura he gave off. And it was clear that I didn’t have much experience. I knew from the start that he was going to get out,” de Villiers told Robin Uthappa in a chat on JioCinema.

“That game seemed easy, but he was just a smart, great player, and it worked out pretty quickly. That’s my method. When it comes to playing fair, it’s not quite right. So he was going very slowly, very slowly, slider straight. I missed the straight one, and that became my weak spot for 2005, 2006, and 2007. “I would miss straight balls, especially ones that turned back a little bit,” he said, thinking back to the first time he played against Warne.

“As I got older and more experienced, I faced new challenges from bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, who was always tough because he was so competitive and never gave up. I have a lot of love for him and the way he plays cricket. I even talked to him a few times. He fought back and caught me a few times, and I love that he is so fierce.

“Once again, Rashid Khan is hard to pick at night. He was caught a few times, but he always came back. Always right there. As he was trying to get me out with the next ball, I hit him for three sixes. And these are the types of bowlers I’ve always found hard to play against and had a lot of respect for,” he said.

Since September 2022, Bumrah hasn’t been able to play because of a back problem that keeps coming back. The pacer is getting better after having surgery at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Bumrah is hoping to get back into the national team for the 2023 ODI World Cup, which will start in India on October 5. The Men in Blue will play their first match against Australia on Sunday, October 8, at the MA Chidambaram in Chennai. Australia has won the World Cup five times before.

The dramatic final of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 was held in Bengaluru on August 29, 2023. The Hubli Tigers prevailed over the Mysuru Warriors by a score of 8 runs to claim victory. Md. Taha (72), Manish Pandey (50*), and Manvanth Kumar (3/32) were the stars for Hubli as they prevailed over Mysuru in a final that went down to the wire. This victory kept the noisy supporters in M Chinnaswamy Stadium on the edge of their seats.

After the Mysuru Warriors asked them to bat in the all-important title match, opener Md. Taha (72 off 40 balls) and KL Shrijith (38), made sure there wasn’t a shortage of runs in the powerplay by scoring 59 runs in the six overs with seven fours and two sixes. This was despite the fact that Luvnith Sisodia was out without scoring on the second ball.
Message from My game was influenced by Zaheer Khan, whose skill at concealing his reverse swing was impressive: Ishant Sharma
August 31, 2023 1:24 AM

One of the greatest pacers India has ever produced is former international Zaheer Khan. The left-arm bowler has played for the national side in 92 Test matches, taking 311 wickets in the process, and has played in 200 ODI matches, taking 282 wickets. He was a key contributor to India‘s victory in the 2011 ODI World Cup and has generally proven to be a formidable opponent on both the national and international stages.

Ishant Sharma, who has participated in 105 Test matches, stated that Zaheer had a significant influence on him when he was playing. Ishant first had some difficulty when the 44-year-old instructed him to hold the ball between the tips of his two fingers at the beginning of his career. Ishant’s bowling style was altered as a result, and this may have contributed to him taking 311 Test wickets, the same number as Zaheer. He praised the former cricketer as a result and mentioned Zaheer’s lethal reverse swing very briefly.

The Ashes series between England and Australia was remarkable and ended with a final score of 2-2. Since they entered the match as the reigning champions, Pat Cummins’ team kept the trophy. While Australia’s five-match series featured two spinners, Todd Murphy (third and fifth Tests) and Nathan Lyon (first two Tests), England relied on Moeen Ali as their lone frontline spin option and was left without a spinner when he was forced to miss the Lord’s Test owing to a finger injury.

After Ben Stokes persuaded Moeen to end his Test retirement with a direct text message, Moeen was unexpectedly summoned up to England’s team for the Ashes. The heated cricket matches between England and Australia finally came to an end after much nail-biting action during the English summer. Even if there have been many noteworthy performances, one aspect of Test cricket has always been the most important. Reason? Their significance in a thrilling team like the English team, especially on Day 4 or 5.

As a result, the hosts were able to prevent the Australians from securing a significant advantage over them as the series ended with a 2-2 score on Monday, July 31 in the big match at The Oval. The urn was nonetheless kept by the visitors. However, no one can discount the significance of a spinner like Moeen Ali, who returned to the Test format for England in a pretty dramatic way. The veteran’s series did not start out well, though, as he broke the web off his fingers.

To assist his team secure a thrilling 49-run victory on the final day of the fifth Ashes 2023 Test, Ali took a three-wicket haul when it mattered most. With the 68th Test serving as his final match for England, the seasoned spinner feels that he has exited on a good note. Notably, the all-rounder received an urgent text message from the home team’s captain, Ben Stokes, after Jack Leach was forced to withdraw due to a lower back stress fracture, which allowed Ali to make an unexpected comeback. In September 2021, the seasoned off-spinner last participated in red-ball cricket.

“I’ll delete any other communications Stokesy sends me. I’m finished now. I’ve truly loved it, and I’m glad it’s come to an end. Ali told Sky Sports, “It feels fantastic.

Although it put a toll on him to make his unexpected comeback, Moeen Ali noted in his reflection on his journey before and after participation in “The Ashes” that he had never meaningfully contributed for his team against the Aussies. Because of this, obtaining those crucial match-defining wickets makes it a particular moment for him that he will treasure forever. After this, Ali thinks he has played his final match and won’t want to answer Ben Stokes again for any additional service to England in the future.
“I’ve never performed very well against Australia, so coming back was a little intimidating. When Stokesy asked, I had one of those moments where I reasoned, “Why not? I still think I can succeed, so I’m going to enter the brilliant side. The BBC’s Test Match Special interviewed Ali.

Two wickets for the team is a really noteworthy contribution. “To take a wicket to win an Ashes Test match is pretty cool because when you make that choice, you never know what your last ball will be,” Broad told Sky Sports.

Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali, in my opinion, set the tone in an incredibly unbelievable way: Broad
Broad gave additional praise to Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes for their efforts during the fifth Test. In his opinion, Woakes did a great job by removing star Australian batter Steve Smith. A special mention should also be made to Ali, who despite having a groin strain bowled 23 overs for three wickets.

“I think Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali were incredible set the tone. Woakesy managed to get rid of a few bowlers, including Steve Smith, who has always been a joy to play against. We really began to believe once we had a couple, the lanky pacer continued.

We’ve played a lot of games together, and although Moeen hasn’t formally said he’s going on, he’s been such a good friend. It would be a dream come true for him to put in that performance and aid England in winning an Ashes Test match, the 37-year-old continued.
Message from Nita Ambani said after MI New York won the first edition, “I think MLC is a momentous step in the development of cricket in this region.”
August 1, 2023 12:55 AM

Mumbai and New York Major League Cricket (MLC)’s maiden season was won by MI New York on July 31, 2023, at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas thanks to a string of impressive performances. The team’s owner Nita Ambani was at the game, as she usually was, passionately supporting the team as the men in blue and gold put on a fantastic performance to win the championship. America’s T20 cricket league is called Major League Cricket. The thrilling final between MI New York and Seattle Orcas concluded the first season, which began on July 13.

Speaking on the historic event, Mrs. Ambani called the final’s atmosphere “unbelievable and really exciting.” She also praised the impact of the competition, which featured some of the world’s top athletes. “Look at the mood around here. A cricket festival seems to be taking place. I believe the MLC is a significant milestone in the growth of cricket in this area. Sport has the potential to be a pillar of society, and it is deeply ingrained in American culture. So it’s wonderful that we can work with MLC to support the expansion and improvement of cricket in this area. Every second of it is fun for me.

With presence in two genders, three continents, four nations, and five leagues, Mumbai Indians is now a genuinely global franchise. Nita Ambani remarked, “It’s been amazing to witness the rise of cricket around the world, especially MI coming to the UAE, South Africa, and now here in the US. Additionally, we have a women’s squad, of which I am quite pleased. It was incredibly inspiring to see these young girls from such different backgrounds come together and play as a team. It was quite comforting.

My deepest sympathy to Jessie's family. She was a very special lady & I always looked forward to seeing her at our "stamp camps" as she always had a smile & some kind words for others. Jessie, you were my best friend, no, you were my sister. I miss you dearly-our lunch dates, going to movies, going to fun concerts, and creating stamping cards together. And mostly just hanging out. You were always so giving and thoughtful of others and were there for whoever needed you. Heaven is so lucky to have one of their most special angels there to help others. You were a gift from God to me and I can't wait till the day we meet again on the other side. Love you always and forever my sister. Love, Natasha

Ever so thankful my life was touched by Jessie! She was spunky, even through her struggles and thereby a wonderful example to us. We will miss her at Stamp Camp West.

Praying for comfort as her loved ones continue the process of living life without sweet Jessie Dell.

Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel about Jessie’s death. Death leaves us with a heartache that no one can heal, love leaves a memory that no one can take away. When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. Diane, my thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. My heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow, with love, hugs and sincere sympathy, may your heart find peace and comfort, as you cherish those treasures forever.

Diane, I'll always remember that you took care of all of our animals when we went on vacation, especially Cutty Hopper our black and white Manx cat who stayed with you and Jessie. When we would come to pick him up at your house he would run under the bed and Jessie and I would be kneeling down with a broom and would be laughing to try and coach him out. Our prayers are with you.

Diane and Family,

Words cannot adequately express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Jessie was a true source of light and lifting other people up. We had many wonderful visits over the last 5 years in particular, and we always ended every visit with a big hug. I will miss that warm embrace from your sweet daughter. Jessie was truly a blessing at our Stampin Up! card workshops. She always had such a positive outlook on life. Jessie always made me smile and we were constantly picking at each other that made everyone else at the table laugh. I will miss her smile, her sense of humor and her good natured teasing. My heart is heavy with the knowledge I will never get to hug her again. To the family... Jessie was a treasure and you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
