Janet Kay Walker, 72, of Parker Colorado, peacefully passed away on September 22, 2019 in Denver, Colorado. She was born on November 10, 1946 in Wichita, KS. to the late Carl Young, Sr. and Grace Veronica Young. She attended George Washington High School in Denver, Colorado graduated in 1965. She was a manager at K-Mart in Parker, an assistant dog trainer at the Denver Dumb Friends League in the 1970's, a manicurist and nail technician at main Street Styles and Hair Styling, a volunteer fire-fighter at Station 71 in Parker for 13 years,and a photographer. She and her husband were truck drivers for Convoy Company in Denver. She enjoyed scrap-booking and free-lance photography, was an expert gardener of flowers , camping, and traveling, jewelry-making, and was a horse enthusiast. She was raised around horses and was an accomplished rider and showed horses regularly.
She married Charles Walter (Wally() Walker on April 14, 1979 in Littleton, Colorado. She is predeceased by her parents, Carl and Grace Young, a sister, Jeanne MacMurray a brother Carl Young, Jr., and a granddaughter Harley Greenlee. Survivors include her spouse Wally Walker of Parker, CO, a son Craig (Tina) Greenlee of Monroe, North Carolina, a grandaughter, Mina Greenlee of Wingate, North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
Reception to follow service. Service at Parker Funeral Home, and reception to be at Hickory House (across the street). Please use downstairs BACK entrance.
