Helen Lois Danielson, age 95, of Aurora, CO, passed away peacefully July 22, 2018. Helen was born August 1, 1922 in Winona, MN. She attended Gonzales High School in Gonzales, TX, graduating in 1941. After high school, Helen attended The Moler System of Colleges, graduating in 1947 for Beauty Culture. With the exception of a few jobs outside of the home, including helping her husband's growing jewelry business, Helen was a homemaker. Helen enjoyed traveling, making tacos, frying her mother's fried cakes, spending time with her grandchildren, hand writing letters, singing hymns and she was an active member of the First Baptist Carrollton Church.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Vancine Clanton, of Aurora, CO; son, Ronald L. Gildersleeve (Shirley), of DeSoto, TX; grandchildren, Adam Clanton, of Clear Lake, CA, Stacey Opfer, of Aurora, CO, Ron Gildersleeve, Jr., of Leonard, TX, Joe Gildersleeve, of Fort Worth, TX, Jennifer Phelps, of Greenville, TX and Jodie Gildersleeve, of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren, Kayla Medina, Maggie Gildersleeve, Annie Phelps, Regina Perrin-Clanton and Julia Gildersleeve; one great grandchild, three nieces and several great nieces and great nephews.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Leroy Danielson, her sister, Patricia Reed Miller and sister, Rebecca Marie Lilly Hindman.
