Eric (Rock) Rokovitz, age 41, passed away on August 12, 2018 from a broken heart after the unexpected death of his beloved wife, Kim Rokovitz on August 9, 2018. Rock grew up in Brunswick, OH and then Broomfield, CO. He graduated from Horizon High School in Thornton, CO in 1995. He worked as a security guard, a bouncer at Park Center Lounge in Westminster, CO and then for Dish Network for the majority of his adult life. He started with Dish Network as a customer service rep and finally left Dish Network as the Senior Telecommunications Manager. Rock was a kind, charismatic, funny man that enjoyed gaming, computer programing, movie watching, and most importantly, showering Kim with his love and appreciation.
Rock and Kim’s love story was a modern day fairy tale. They met as teenagers at Lake McConaughy in Nebraska through friends and Rock quickly announced to his friends that he would marry Kim someday. They dated for 10 years before they married in 2003. They amassed a lifetime of memories spending every waking moment together. They worked together at Dish Network, they enjoyed traveling, and they enjoyed quiet nights at home. Rock felt it was his life’s mission to make Kim laugh and feel like the most treasured woman on the planet. He succeeded in that daily.
Rock is survived by his mother, Cynthia Rokovitz of Broomfield, CO; sister, Sue (John) Tevis of Brunswick OH; brother, Dan (Harry Samelson) Rokovitz formerly of Pahoa, HI, now of Matthews, NC; sister, Cathy Moyer of Westminster, CO, and many more loved ones. Rock is predeceased by his most beloved wife, Kim Rokovitz and his father, Edward Rokovitz.
A Celebration of Rock and Kim’s Life will be planned at a later date.
