Douglas Dorr

Douglas W. Dorr, 81, passed away May 6, 2019 in Parker, CO.  He was born July 20, 1937 to Harold and Velma (Dawley) Dorr in Van Nuys, CA.

After high school, he proudly served his country in the US Navy.  In March 1961, Doug married the love of his life, Betty Lou Hanna and they had three beautiful children.  He spent his career as a purchasing agent for Hughes Aircraft Company.  When he wasn’t working, Doug enjoyed home renovations, building decks and refinishing basements.  He also loved the outdoors, Colorado Rockies, golf and spending time with his family.

Doug leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his children, Julie (Ken) Nilsson of Colorado Springs, CO; Steve (Joanna) Dorr of Parker, CO; Jill (Jon) Pruitt of Kiowa, CO; grandchildren, Brianna (George) Theil of Castle Rock, CO; Andrew (Chelsea) Pruitt of Deer Trail, CO; Meagan Dorr of Colorado Springs, CO; Steve Dorr, Jr. of Aurora, CO; great-grandchildren, Ethan Theil of Castle Rock, CO and Coy Pruitt, of Deer Trail, CO.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty Lou; siblings, Dick and Harriett.
