Deanna Kay (Hipple) Harrington passed away in her sleep on December 7, 2019. Kay was born in Marysville, Pennsylvania, between the banks of the Susquehanna River and the Appalachian Trail, on November 4, 1937.
Kay was at the top of her class in all subjects which paved the way for her success in nursing school. As a registered nurse (RN), she practiced in Pennsylvania, North Dakota, California, and Colorado. She served in emergency rooms, medical/surgery wards, orthopedic floors, OB/GYN, and addiction treatment settings. She leaves a legacy of expert and compassionate care for thousands of patients and their families. She even treated the famous singer, Peggy Lee.
Kay loved music (Rachmaninoff, Simon and Garfunkel, the Carpenters) and could play classical piano. She adored animals, especially horses and dogs.
Kay is predeceased by her brother, Robert Hipple.

Jenny Butler, daughter, Texas
Six grandchildren and one great grandchild
Out of respect for the family, the family has asked that they are given the privacy they need at this time. Services will be private.
