Barbara Ruth Loftus, age 82, passed away peacefully September 30, 2017 surrounded by those she loved. Born February 6, 1935 in El Paso, TX Barbara attended Ysleta High School, followed by college at Texas Western College (UTEP). On August 21, 1954 Barbara married Mr. Eugene Loftus, who she remained married to until her death. Barbara was an avid needlepoint enthusiast, not only designing custom needlework, but also earning a Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Academy of Needlearts, earning a spot as a Master Judge for Embroiders Guild of America and becoming a National Officer for the EGA. Barbara was also a member of the Boulder Questers Preservation. Barbara is survived by her husband Eugene of Parker, CO; daughter Cheryl St. Clair (Dan) of Westminster; son Michael Loftus of Parker, CO; granddaughters Kathryn Thomas (Geoff) of Firestone, CO, Nicole St. Clair of Westminster, CO, Rachel Loftus of Albuquerque, NM; great grandsons Sam, Jackson and Luke of Firestone, CO; nephew Randy Andres of Carencro, LA. Barbara is preceded in death by her father Hinton Andres, her mother Ruth Andres and her brother Robert Andres. Donations in Barbara’s honor may be made to the Dumb Friends League of Castle Rock. Following the graveside service, a memorial reception will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Grant Ranch Clubhouse located at 7255 W. Grant Ranch Blvd. Littleton, CO  80123.
