Audrey Mathis Obituary

Audrey May Mathis, 98, of Parker, CO, passed away on July 24, 2021 in Littleton, CO. She was born on January 20, 1923 in Cheyenne, WY, the daughter of Guy Delbert and Mable (Douglas) Newland. In May of 1940, she graduated from Cheyenne High School. Audrey worked as a Secretary for the University of Colorado and Frontier Refinery Company.

On December 1, 1967, Audrey married Charles "Ted" Eugene Mathis in Trinidad, CO. She enjoyed sewing and painting, both oils and watercolors.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice L. (John) Hammer, Carl Junction, MO; sons, Charles W. (Gloria) Wilson, Parker, CO and Alfred Thomas Van Camp IV, Englewood, CO; brother, Bernard B. (Donna) Newland, Cheyenne, WY; 5 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Charles T. Mathis.

Burial will be private at the family plot in Cheyenne, WY.
