                Virginia “Ginny” Vinke lost her courageous battle with cancer on Friday, 6/17/16.  Ginny was cremated and will be interned alongside her loving husband, Warren Bruce Vinke, according to her wishes. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Virginia Long.    

                Ginny was born April, 26, 1947 in St. Petersburg, FL.   Ginny was a cowgirl from an early age and immediately found a strong affection for horses.  She was fortunate to have ridden countless trail rides across some of the most picturesque places in the United States.  She was active in Parker Trail Riders for decades and even served several years as President and Treasurer.  She was also Director of the Parker County Christmas Carriage Parade from 1990-1993. 

                She established Metro Brokers Douglas-Elbert Properties in 1993 and was well known as a successful real estate broker within the community.  She served on the Metro Brokers board of directors from 1993-94. 

                Ginny is survived by her daughter, Natalie Leraas (Erik), of Plano, TX; son Chris Sheuermann (Ginger) of Franktown, CO; step daughter, Wendy Hoke (Jeff) of Elizabeth, CO; step son Randy Vinke (Judie) of Belvidere, TN and grandchildren Chance and Austin of Plano, TX.   

                A memorial service to celebrate Ginny’s life will be held at Joy Lutheran Church in Parker at 2pm on Thursday, 6/30/16.  The church is located at 7051 East Parker Hills Ct., Parker, CO  80138.  A catered reception will be held at 4pm at Ginny’s residence: 11914 E. Hwy 86, Franktown, CO  80116.  The family has asked for donations to the Coloradohorserescuenetwork.com in lieu of flowers.
