Ruth Ellen Martin was born May 5, 1923 to Clarence S. and Anne Nicholson in Upland, California.  The family lived in Claremont, Ca. where Ruth attended school. Ruth married John F. (Jack) Martin on August 9, 1942 in Pomona, California.  They lived in Claremont, Ca. where they raised three children, Sharon, Gail, and Bob. She was living with her daughter and son-in-law in Parker, Colorado at the time of her death.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Jack Martin and her son Bob Martin; she is survived by a sister, 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Ruth had requested she be cremated and her ashes scattered in the waters of Hawaii.
