To the Family, My deepest condolences. May our Lord Bless you and deliver strength in you time of mourning.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5

Pops,
the holidays and life itself will never be the same. We had so much in common although neither of us would probably admit this, I feel there was so much left for all of us to experience together, I tell myself you are in a better place, it makes it no easier. It comforts me that you are experiencing the great unknown, you asked me once to take care of your daughter and informed me she was "my problem now" , well, i will, and you were right..
Someday we will all be together again of this I'm sure and with tears in my eyes I will always be thankful you were a part of my life.
