Kara Rae Schlosser, daughter of Cathy Schlosser and Kurt Schlosser, passed away on 20 October 2016, she was a mere 23 years of age.

Kara is survived by her parents: her mother, Cathy Schlosser, and her father, Kurt Schlosser; her brother: Brent Schlosser and his wife Heather Schlosser; her grandparents: Donald and Wanda Huddleson, and Andree Schlosser; her aunts: Renee’ Huddleson, Rae Hayward, and Pat Perry and husband Gavin; her uncles: Timothy Huddleson, and Bob Schlosser and his wife Janet; her cousins: Stephanie Minck, Ian Minck, Alexandra Hayward, Hunter Hayward, Jessica Schlosser, Richard Schlosser, Devin Bennett, Christine Pineda, Mark Schulte, and many other relatives whom loved and cherished her.

Kara was born in Limerick, Maine on 25 June 1993. She graduated from River Ridge High School in 2011, where she had played a pivotal role as a Cheerleader for many years, even taking the team to State Championships. She spent most of her time in New Port Richey, FL after graduating, but eventually moved to the Mountains of Colorado. Kara enjoyed living there and found the city, the mountains, and the snow, the serenity she needed to explore her passions.

Most of Kara’s family and friends would describe her smart, generous, passionate, and very much willing to go out of her way to see you smile. Those who really knew her, knew how much she loved fashion, and especially the art of “facial awareness”. She was always donned in beauty and grace, and each day brought something bold and fascinating. Always glamorous; never overdone. This talent was her art; her expression and imagination in visual form, to be appreciated for its beauty and emotional power. An art she wanted to share with the world, an art that the world would have been blessed to have known.

Services for Kara will be held on 28 October 2016, from 11.00 to 13.00 PM MT. The services will be located at Parker and Elizabeth Funeral Homes, 10325 Parkglenn Way, Parker, CO 80138.

Until we meet again Kara, I leave you with this: “Such beauty, innocence, and potential, lost in a moment, whether by choice or habit, gone forever. Leaving only cherished memories of the distant past and thoughts of future moments that will never be. My heart hurts for those who remain, dealing with the pain. A friendship that can never be replaced; an emptiness no parent should ever face. May your beautiful soul be at rest; forever in our hearts.”
