Joseph Aaron Martin, 41, of Englewood, CO, passed away on October 7, 2016.  He was the son of Jim and Gladys Martin of Staunton,  

In 1993, Joe graduated from Civic Memorial High School in Bethalto, IL.  Joe joined the US Army from 1993-1996.  He went on and received his Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences in 1999, from SIUE in Edwardsville, IL, and in 2003 he received his Bachelors in Nursing from SLU in St. Louis, MO.  In 2007, Joe received his Masters in Anesthisia from DePaul in Evanston, IL.  He started his career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in 2007 at the University of Colorado Hospital. 

On May 31, 1997, he married Alicia Herndon in Rosewood Heights, IL.

Joe was a member of AANA.  His interests were soccer, coaching, painting murals and sketching.

He is survived by his wife, Alicia, of Parker, CO; his children, Noah, Ethan and Emma, of Parker, CO; parents, Jim and Gladys Martin, of Staunton, IL; brother, Audie (Brenda) Martin, of Staunton, IL; 3 nephews; 1 niece; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was predeceased by his son, Zachary Martin.
