Janis and I started working at the Zoo at the same time. The zoo staff was close knit and we had a blast back then. Janis was always a kind and gentle person, fun to work with. I wish much peace and comfort to her family.

We have been family friends for over 20 years,and that includes many sweet memories of Cub Scouts, birthdays, Halloween, Thanksgiving dinners, and lots of girlfriend lunches. Janis will forever be one of the most generous and thoughtful people I have ever known. Her devotion to family, friends, and God's creatures was an inspiration. Now, she has "fought the good fight and finished her race." I will miss her....
